Rejuvenating wilderness

What an amazing location and surroundings. Everyday we went on a little adventure because the wilderness offered so many lovely walking paths. We were welcomed with homemade croissants and a few essentials. As we went during the winter months the hot tub was ready for our arrival so we could enjoy immediately. We loved that it was so private even with other visitors we felt we had our own space. The pod looked onto a little pond which was amazing and the scenery was perfect for relaxing time in the hot tub. The pod had everything that you could ask for. The hosts were amazing always made sure that the hot tub was perfect and we were enjoying our stay. There are BBQ facilities available but suspect this would be over the warmer months. But the kitchen is well equipped to make those special delicious meals.

Such a well thought out property in a beautiful place. Really clean and very well equipped.

We loved the property. Only thing that we would have liked is a light outside for getting in and out of the hot tub in the dark but it was amazing to lie and look at the stars.

There’s so much beauty to see around this area! Gorgeous.

It was quaint, quiet, and lovely. The hot tub had the perfect temp in the cold weather and the stars were bright with low light pollution. 10 out of 10 would visit again. Love that it’s right on the NC500 too. Stunning drive.

Everything was just perfect - the location, the communication from the owners, the pod was so private and peaceful. If you want to go away for a romantic break this would be a great option but it's equally a great option for girls weekend, family time etc.

What was not to like, such a perfect location and the Pods themselves were so clean and beautiful, everything we needed in the one place and Dawn was amazing.

Fantastic base for the North East!

Attention to detail from the hosts was excellent. The Newmore hens eggs were stunning. Hot tub was great after a day in the hills. Fantastic location for exploring the area. We didnt use the BBQ or sauna hut but they looked great.

It’s was in a stunning location, the pod was beautiful and had all the finer touches. The owners are super lovely and they had made us a wee care package for our arrival. We had the most relaxing time, it was extremely private and really dog friendly. We even enjoyed the added bonus of the sauna.

the bed was so comfortable! has the best sleep whilst staying here, met dawn when she showed us how to use the hot tub, she was very welcoming.

no fault to the hosts at all, but there was so many wasps!🤣 dawn explained to us that there was no wasp nest or anything near the pods so she was unsure why they kept appearing.

Everything! We just loved our wee break! It was so peaceful yet not too far from the town. POD was fantastic everything you need is there. Local takeaways deliver food if you don't fancy cooking. Hot tub was fab - if a little too hot, but that's just personal preference. Am sure if we asked we could have had it adjusted by the lovely hosts.

Liked everything. However, would like to pass on a few tips. A small fan would have been handy to cool the bedroom down a wee bit. Either another step up to the hot tub or something to hold onto when getting in and out! (Again, that's personal really, as we are a bit older with reduced mobility.)

Everything! Our favourite part was the pod overlooking a pond with plenty of wildlife to watch including ducks & ducklings, free range chickens, rabbits and birds. Bed was super comfy and the hot tub was amazing. Peaceful and relaxing location with plenty to do in surrounding areas. Fresh eggs, milk & croissants on arrival, local Morrisons close by for groceries.
