I will happily book this property again

I'm a frequent visitor to Inverness and have always dreamed of staying in a property by the River Ness. This one was perfect. We arrived by train; and with our big luggage, it took us less than 18 minutes to get to the property. It is very easy to find even if one is not familiar with Inverness: maybe the owner could add to the description that it's a white cottage (it's the only white one in the area). It is very close to Infirmary Bridge and is beside the University of the Highlands and Islands. It is a very secure area, although I would probably not stay here if I was travelling alone (simply because the place is too big for one person). It is a very pretty property -- in fact several passersby would take photos of it. We kept the blinds closed and so we were not bothered by that; and even took it to mean that the property where we were staying was that lovely. The people who walk past the property were not noisy -- unlike some reviews I read. The property is very clean. The fridge had a freezer -- contrary to previous comments I read here; maybe the owner replaced the older one? The gas hob was beautiful; it made me want to cook although of course i had no time to do so. The kitchen was complete: pots and pans, glassware, plates, cutlery, knife set. The bedrooms were big enough (we were a party of four), and the sofa is big and comfortable to sleep on. There was a big TV in the living room and both bedrooms had their own TVs. WiFi is strong. Loo roll is nice; not the cheap kind some properties use.

Toilet needs a lock. Owner had a tendency to send too many emails, repeating everything already said in a previous email -- in fact I thought I was hacked. One of the beds was squeaky -- it would squeak even when I would shift positions when sleeping; maybe the owner can take a look?

Lovely, comfortable stay

The property was very clean, cosy and the location was excellent! Located a very short walk away from pubs, restaurants and shops. Also, only a short drive way from other towns such as Burton-on-the-Water and Daylesford.

The host was not responsive during our stay. We stayed over a weekend so perhaps that is why but if they ahd let us know they were not going to be responding over the weekend would have been appreciated.

Loved it...

beautifully decorated, luxurious furniture, fittings and accessories....great location right by the riverside, a short walk to the Cathedral and the Castle

Only downside of being on the riverside is the very high number of pedestrians which meant keeping the blinds at least half closed to avoid people staring into the rooms. Unfortunately for us the annual Etape Loch Ness bike ride was on the Sunday we were there and they started riding past the Lodge very very early!! So we gave up on sleep, grabbed coffee and stood outside to cheer them on!

all in all it was a good stay just a few little niggles

The location was really nice, close to the river and inverness, inside was very comfortable with a nice bed and a big cooker.

The plumbing had issues after I had a bath. No clothes horse No fish slice

The lodge was in easy walking distance into town. The bedding and towels were very good.

The wi fi worked best in the main room. It took a while to work out how to use the cooker. You do hear people walking past as the windows are right next to the pavement.

Cosy, beautiful lodge in perfect location.

Great location with a view of the river and easy walk into the town centre or along the river. Clean, well presented lodge with everything we needed in excellent condition. We loved the extra touch with the Christmas tree.

We couldn’t get the oven to work on the Range Master. The hob was fine and the grill but we could not work out how to get the oven to heat up.

Excellent location, close to city centre with lovely views of River Ness. Newly decorated, modern feel. Off road parking. Smart TVs in both bedrooms in addition to lounge.

Few missing facilities, if added would make faultless accommodation. There is no freezer and the fridge has no ice box either. No ironing board or iron. There are no wardrobes to hang clothes, plenty of drawers but not even any coat hooks anywhere to hang coats. The addition of some coat hooks in the entrance area and hooks on back of bedroom doors would be a quick fix.
