I'm a frequent visitor to Inverness and have always dreamed of staying in a property by the River Ness. This one was perfect. We arrived by train; and with our big luggage, it took us less than 18 minutes to get to the property. It is very easy to find even if one is not familiar with Inverness: maybe the owner could add to the description that it's a white cottage (it's the only white one in the area). It is very close to Infirmary Bridge and is beside the University of the Highlands and Islands. It is a very secure area, although I would probably not stay here if I was travelling alone (simply because the place is too big for one person).
It is a very pretty property -- in fact several passersby would take photos of it. We kept the blinds closed and so we were not bothered by that; and even took it to mean that the property where we were staying was that lovely. The people who walk past the property were not noisy -- unlike some reviews I read.
The property is very clean. The fridge had a freezer -- contrary to previous comments I read here; maybe the owner replaced the older one? The gas hob was beautiful; it made me want to cook although of course i had no time to do so. The kitchen was complete: pots and pans, glassware, plates, cutlery, knife set.
The bedrooms were big enough (we were a party of four), and the sofa is big and comfortable to sleep on. There was a big TV in the living room and both bedrooms had their own TVs. WiFi is strong. Loo roll is nice; not the cheap kind some properties use.
Toilet needs a lock. Owner had a tendency to send too many emails, repeating everything already said in a previous email -- in fact I thought I was hacked. One of the beds was squeaky -- it would squeak even when I would shift positions when sleeping; maybe the owner can take a look?

The property was very clean, cosy and the location was excellent! Located a very short walk away from pubs, restaurants and shops. Also, only a short drive way from other towns such as Burton-on-the-Water and Daylesford.
The host was not responsive during our stay. We stayed over a weekend so perhaps that is why but if they ahd let us know they were not going to be responding over the weekend would have been appreciated.
