About this house rental

The serene Taos Ski and Mountain Bike home is a quiet 2 acre sanctuary with expansive views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range to the edge of the Rio Grande river. The house is a split level duplex. Each level is fully private. You enter the upper property. You enter into the main room where Taos Mountain can be seen to your left while the Rio Hondo is 1 km in the distance. The Rio Hondo drains the melting snow from the Taos Ski Valley Resort located just 2O minutes up the road. Take in the views from the deck or sit back in the sofa with a warm fire in the wood stove. The master bedroom has a California King bed, full bath with subway tiles on two walls allowing for ample natural light into the space.

The oversized kitchen has all the amenities and utensils you need to cook a delicious meal, including a full set of pots and pans, cookware, dinnerware, flatware, serving ware, drink ware, and linens. Please help yourself to organic coffee, popcorn and pasta in the jars on the counter. You can choose to make coffee in three ways: pour over, an Italian Bialetti or a French press.

The wifi is strong and was trenched to the house so it would be as secure and consistent as possible. When working remotely, you will be able to download documents, stream movies, live events and Zoom.

Taos Ski Valley has been featured in Outside Magazine's 2023 list of Best Places to Visit in the U.S. for Adventure! "Aside from its reputation for driving change, the main reason skiers flock to this resort in northern New Mexico is for the uncrowded, low-key vibe. That and the quick hike to steep chutes off the West Basin, bird’s-eye views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from atop 12,481-foot Kachina Peak, and the green-chile-stuffed breakfast burritos. . ." Outside Magazine.

I’ve been doing vrbo long enough to realize places like this are why I choose vrbo. It’s a private, curated, shared, personal space. The owner has chosen to share his special place, sure, to make money, but it’s a second home and there is some level of shared magic. He’s opting to say “here is a magical place.” So you feel like you’ve been granted anccess and the view is spectacular.

Property and location was just as described providing a quiet, calming scenic place to base our Taos area stay. Location was about 20 minute easy drive to Taos which we knew but the beautiful views compensated for that. Great restaurants within 10-20 minutes as well as hiking, museums and shopping in Taos. The home was quite comfortable with all things you might need for your stay.

Outstanding stars, wonderful king bed, great amenities and easy check in & out. Convenient location for what we prefer to do, some shopping, eating out and hiking. The views are great - rolling hills, mountains & valley area! Woke up to a hot air balloon onthe horizon every morning!!
