Suites with Saunas - Bergwald Suites

These light-filled suites are also located on the upper floor and offer a view of the roof from every room. A modern and very well-equipped built-in kitchen with lacquered cabinets invites you to cook. The living room features a 65-inch smart TV with a soundbar, subwoofer, and Blu-ray player.

The toilet is a separate room from the bathroom—and for good reason, since there is a combined bedroom, bathroom, and shower area. There is also a log cabin sauna in that space. However, the hot air does not enter the interior but is vented outside via a valve, ensuring that—even with the sauna in use—the room remains at a comfortable temperature.

The 2-meter-wide sliding-door closet offers ample storage space for the contents of your suitcases, as well as an integrated 40-inch smart TV with Ambilight.

Adjacent to the main room, facing south, is a spacious balcony terrace furnished with lounge furniture. The cushions can be stored in the small storage room within the suite



The concept of the Bergwald Suites
Following the spacious Bergwald Lodges with over 120 m²
of interior space, there is a lack of adequate smaller units in Schierke and, above all, on
our property. The Mountain Forest Suites are designed as vacation rentals; upon
request, hotel-style service can also be provided. For example,
breakfast can be booked in advance, and with a daily special offered at Montevino
, a form of half-board is also possible. Nevertheless, the suites
—with an average living area of 60 m²—feature a well-equipped built-in lacquered kitchen,
which also allows for self-catering. With a living-dining area of over 25 m²
, a spacious bathroom with a rain shower, and a bedroom featuring a box-spring bed
and a spacious sliding-door closet, the vacation apartments rightfully bear the designation
“suite.” Here, there’s something for every taste and need. Some
suites feature an additional sleeping and play area—certainly a
treat for younger guests—while others include a Finnish sauna in the combined
sleeping/shower area, which vents the heat outside via a valve at
so the bedroom doesn’t turn into a sauna as well. Large
smart TVs in the living room and bedroom, along with a soundbar
and subwoofer in the living room, provide all the entertainment you could want.
Without the loft beds, the space comfortably accommodates 4 people. The living room
features a very high-quality couch that literally rolls out
into an extremely comfortable bed with a spring mattress and slatted frame
and even offers the popular comfort height. The bedrooms are
strategically located in the area facing away from the restaurant
, so that disturbances to the peace are virtually impossible
.
Construction:
The entire property was built using log construction;
the exterior walls are made of solid 20-cm-thick glued-laminated beams of Nordic
spruce. The interior walls are well insulated and, for the most part,
also clad in spruce. A pleasant and unobtrusive
wood scent accompanies guests and residents throughout the premises.
Underfloor heating provides cozy
warmth throughout the house during the cold winter months. In 2019, the project was the largest log cabin construction site in Germany.
Style:

The ambiance and furnishings of the suites and the
Montevino feature a trendy mix of modern and cozy styles.
Solid 4-cm-thick oak with natural edges is paired with comfortable chairs upholstered in polyester velvet.



Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to midnight, and check-out from midnight to 11:00 AM.
