About this apartment rental
The suites on the first floor are identically equipped and also feature high wooden ceilings in a unique design. Of course, there are no sleeping lofts here. Instead, large terraces with garden furniture adjoin the lower-level suites.
In one of the ground-floor suites, guests are permitted to bring ONE pet (dog or cat) for an additional fee. This suite also features the largest terrace.
The four suites on the upper floor are bright and open, extending all the way to the roof. Upon entering, the scent of wood fills the air, creating a cozy atmosphere. The decor features a trendy mix of styles. All suites feature a living/dining/sleeping area with a high-quality, well-equipped built-in lacquered kitchen; a bedroom with a box-spring bed, a spacious closet, and a smart TV; and a bathroom with a glass/rain shower and a sink. Underfloor heating in all rooms provides cozy warmth. A staircase leads—especially for the children—to the spacious, fall-proof play and sleeping loft, which also features two sleeping areas: one 1.40 m wide and two 80 cm wide. All suites on the upper floor feature a large balcony where, depending on the orientation, guests can enjoy the morning, midday, or evening sun. (Additional features listed below)
The Bergwaldsuites concept
Following the spacious Bergwaldlodges with over 120 m²
of interior space, there is a lack of adequate smaller units in Schierke and, above all, on
our property. The Mountain Forest Suites are designed as vacation rentals; upon
request, hotel-style service can also be provided. For example, breakfast can be
booked in advance, and with a daily special offered at Montevino
, a form of half-board is also possible. Nevertheless, the suites
—with an average living area of 60 m²—feature a well-equipped built-in lacquered kitchen,
which also allows guests to prepare their own meals. With a living-dining area of over 25 m²
, a spacious bathroom with a rain shower, and a bedroom featuring a box-spring bed
and a spacious sliding-door closet, the vacation apartments rightfully bear the designation
“Suite.” Here, there’s something for every taste and need. Some
suites feature an additional sleeping and play area—certainly a
treat for younger guests—while others include a Finnish sauna in the combined
sleeping/shower area, which vents the heat outside via a valve at
to prevent the bedroom from turning into a sauna as well. Large
smart TVs in the living room and bedroom—the one in the living room equipped with a soundbar
and subwoofer—provide all the entertainment you could want.
Without the loft beds, the space comfortably accommodates 4 people. The living room
features a very high-quality couch that literally rolls out
into an extremely comfortable bed with a spring mattress and slatted frame
and even offers the popular comfort height. The bedrooms are
thoughtfully located in an area facing away from the dining area
, so that disturbances to the peace are virtually impossible
.
Construction:
The entire property was built using log construction;
the exterior walls are made of solid 20-cm-thick glued-laminated beams of Nordic
spruce. The interior walls are well insulated and, for the most part,
clad with spruce. A pleasant and unobtrusive
wood scent accompanies guests and residents throughout the premises.
Underfloor heating provides cozy
warmth throughout the house during the cold winter months. In 2019, this project was the largest log cabin construction site in Germany.
