With Lake Flee in sight: Welcome to a natural and vacation paradise in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District.
Just an hour and a half from Berlin or Rostock and 2 hours from Hamburg, our cozy 5-bedroom Schnitterhaus Tamara is the perfect home away from home for your vacation. The vacation home accommodates 6 to 9 people plus 1 toddler. Thanks to its size and garden, it’s ideal for larger families or vacations spent with a family of friends. Beachgoers, water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, cyclists, golfers, anglers, hikers, sauna lovers, and geocachers are all warmly welcome here and invited to enjoy the wonderful tranquility of the location.
The Schnitterhaus Tamara is a historic house over 150 years old that has been thoroughly renovated and equipped with modern amenities. Following a change in ownership, we comprehensively renovated and partially refurbished the vacation home in 2021. The historic charm, the tasteful, lovingly designed, family-friendly interior—featuring mostly solid wood furniture—and the prime location near Lake Fleese in the heart of a magnificent vacation region promise relaxing and unforgettable vacations all year round.

Tamara Vacation Home on Lake Fleese:
The Tamara vacation home is a historic reaper’s cottage over 150 years old that has been completely renovated and furnished to a high standard. Our Tamara was officially awarded 4 stars (****) by the German Tourism Association in 2022 and 2025: High-quality overall furnishings with superior comfort. It accommodates 6 to 9 people plus 1 toddler. Spanning a generous 140 m² over 2 floors, it features 5 living areas: A 34-square-meter living room with a new wood-burning stove, cozy seating, a large dining table, a smart flat-screen TV (with a DVD player and many DVDs), and a smart stereo system (with Bluetooth, CD, radio, and USB). In addition, there are 2 full bathrooms with natural light (1 with a shower, bathtub, and toilet; 1 with a shower and toilet), a large, fully equipped kitchen, and a total of 4 separate bedrooms:
- orange room on the first floor with 1 double bed (180x200 cm) and 1 crib (60x120 cm, up to age 3)
- purple room on the upper floor with 1 double bed (180x200 cm)
- red room on the upper floor with 2 cozy king-size single beds (120x200 cm) & 1 additional single bed (90x200 cm),
which can also be used as seating
- Green room on the upper floor with 2 single beds in a solid corner bunk bed—kids love it (each 90x200m)
The hallway on the first floor, the living room, and the lower bathroom feature radiant floor heating and are tiled. This, combined with the fireplace, makes it cozy in every season. All other rooms are also heated. The hardwood flooring installed upstairs under the roof ensures a pleasant indoor climate in the attic space. The furnishings consist almost entirely of high-quality solid wood furniture. Upstairs, enjoy the view of the beautiful Fleesensee, just 200 meters away, with its sandy beach perfect for swimming, large sunbathing areas and playgrounds, a separate dog beach, water sports activities, and the lovely beach promenade. It’s just a 2-minute walk from the house to the water.
The experience is rounded out by a large covered terrace with a beach chair and plenty of seating (with morning and midday sun for a cozy breakfast outdoors), 2 parking spaces at the house (additional free parking is a 5-minute walk away), and a fenced-in, green, sunny garden with seating, lounge chairs, a sandbox, a fire pit, a swing chair, and bike racks (shared with the Milena vacation home next door). In the evening, the stone barbecue fireplace with an adjacent covered picnic arbor is perfect for a barbecue. Our large Taavi barrel sauna is also located in the garden. Use of the sauna is by arrangement with the Milena vacation home next door. The barrel has a separate antechamber for changing and relaxing and a large sauna room with 2 long loungers.
