Welcome to The Chattahoochee River House 2, situated on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Relax in the peaceful screened porch with new furniture while overlooking the sights and sounds of the river cascading over the rocks. It is perfectly located for convenient access to everything Downtown Helen offers with the added bonus of being nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains! You may want to take a refreshing dip in the river; go next door to the Helen Festhalle for bingo and dancing; cross the street for miniature golf; head up to Main St. for a horse drawn carriage ride and shopping; take a hike on one of the many trails close by; or take a drive through the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.
This Luxurious Condo was recently updated with New Décor and Furnishings throughout that highlight the River~Mountain Motif. The Chattahoochee River House 2 is the upstairs condo and features Amazing River views throughout from the many Windows and Balconies! The Welcoming Screened Porch opens into the large main living area that includes a well-equipped Kitchen with Granite Counters, Stainless Steel appliances and more, plus plenty of seating around the table in case you decide to eat in instead of sampling the many delicious restaurants around town! There are both a standard drip coffee maker and a Keurig for your convenience. The comfortable Living Room with Gas fireplace has been updated with 2 New Sofas, New Rug, Custom made Tables from a local craftsman and is the perfect setting to Enjoy a Movie on the TV with Roku streaming.
The main bedroom features a king bed, Gas fireplace, a Roku streaming TV, private bath with jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and a double vanity. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a Roku streaming TV, and a private bath with jacuzzi tub/shower combo. Both bedrooms have New Bedding and for additional guests, there is a Queen sleeper sofa for two in the living room with access to the hallway half-bath.
Some of our Favorite things to do in the area around Helen…Hike the 6 mile round trip Unicoi Park trail that starts in Helen to Unicoi Lodge and back; have lunch or dinner at LaPrade’s Marina overlooking Lake Burton; relax on the Patio with a glass of wine while listening to live music at Yonah Mountain Winery; Hike the 2 mile round trip trails at Hemlock Falls or Angel Falls for a beautiful Waterfall view; walk around the cute stores of Sautee Nacoochee village; eat a Balboa sandwich (add jalapenos) at Bigg Daddy’s in Helen or get the Fried Banana Pepper rings at Clyde’s in Cleveland! There is so much more as well, let us know what your favorite activity is! If you have stayed here before, we think you will really enjoy all the updates made by the new owners!
BONUS: Did you know this is a sister property to The Chattahoochee River House 1 and the properties are joined by a lock-off door! If both are available for your dates, they can be rented together to double your space for a larger group!

We loved our stay at Chattahoochee River House 2. We stayed a weekend in December and it was decorated for Christmas. There was a big Christmas tree in the living room and a smaller slim tree in both of the bedrooms. My sons loved being next to the river to fish and I loved sitting in the screened in porch able to see/hear them. The location is great. Just off the main road, along the river. We didn't know Helen's Christmas parade was this weekend so that was a great surprise. We parked when we arrived and didn't go back to the car until we left - this is walking distance to everyone you want to go. We will definitely stay at this property again and would recommend to others. I did have to call the after hours service because I couldn't find the sheets for the sofa bed (they are in the guest room closet which is in the guest bath!) and they answered right away and called right back w/ the answer. All in all 10/10

The condo was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The whole condo was decorated nicely for fall and it was one of the new best ones we have stayed at in Helen.

Loved this unit in the past. This unit is upstairs and we didn’t have any one in the downstairs unit last visit this time we did and any food they cooked the smell came into our place. We had an issue with our shower head falling off and they came and fixed it then our refrigerator started leaking all over the floor we used our bath towels to prevent it from getting the rug wet again and rung them out to keep the water at bay. We called a couple of times and when we left there still were towels around the fridge it never got fixed. The floor around the fridge is damaged so I am thinking this might be an on going problem. If I owned a home and used a management company for my maintenance I would be upset at the condition of my floor. We love Helen and frequent it. We were excited to go back to this place after trying others but might think twice about this place next time.
