Nice house in a cool neighborhood.

Had a great time with family and some friends as we celebrated our cousin’s birthday. The house had enough space and amenities for us to enjoy our stay.

Overall the property was sufficient. It was clean on the surface, but probably could have used a deep clean. The main disappointment was the outside space. The hot tub was half full and not clean, there were no functional cornhole set and the ping pong was in iffy shape. The redeeming factor was the couch and fire pit which was a nice way to relax with the group. Overall,I would go back again if the outside space was up to par to what was advertised.

The host of this property was very communicative and accommodating but overall nothing too spectacular or impressive about this property. It did the job for our retreat. It was spacious and had enough beds for us but that’s about it. We had to kill a few spiders/insects and there were spider webs everywhere that we had to clean ourselves. That is something the cleaners should’ve taken care of prior. The hot tub would’ve been a nice amenity to use but it had a really strong chlorine smell and had spiders all around it. Some of the beds were very squeaky and the cabinets in the kitchen were poorly designed/put together. None of those cons were any major red flags to us and would stay here again in the future.

The property was clean and the owner Kate was very quick with responses for any questions. Will stay here again for sure!!

This place is designed to enjoy beautiful Southern California. Minutes drive away from the beach. Home was beautiful and spacious. Had an amazing time. Looking to book again in the future! 5 stars!

The property was well-maintained, and had everything listed in its amenities. Very clean and spacious. However. host did not disclose street sweeping schedule and three of our cars received $58 citations.

Property is nicely maintained and conveniently located to the San Luis Mission and Eternal Hills Mortuary, which were the two main venues we visited. We will definitely recommend it to family an d friends, and use this property again in the future.

House was very spacious and clean. We had rain so didn’t enjoy the backyard but our stay overall was great. It was as advertised.

This property is extremely spacious, clean and full of amenities. The beds were superb. The only minor hiccup was that we were unable to get the heat and A/C temps balanced between upstairs and downstairs. Other than that, I would stay here again without question.

We absolutely loved our time at Katherine’s house. It was clean, fun and spacious with all the amenities. We had zero problems with anyone in the neighborhood. There were plenty of bikes to ride and games to play along with a huge kitchen table that allowed us a wonderful bday family dinner. We could also watch skydivers from the patio as they flew back down to earth. It was beautiful and we would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the local area. Communication was great with our host and check in and out was super easy! The house did not look like the photos used. There were stained couches, a missing indoor shutter, one of the beds was super squeaky, walls were dirty. There was some Funky design things about the house that made it feel run down. Awkward lighting, the door to a bathroom upstairs was swollen and does not close properly, it got stuck to the floor. The whole home Was filled with STRONG air fresher smell. We unplugged the wall plug ins and used our diffusers.

This is our second time staying here. It was just as good as the first. It was perfect for our two families. Plenty of space, and comfortable. We’d come again!

While the host was very responsive… the house was definitely not clean. Everything felt sticky and unsanitized. Towels smelled and the beds did not feel clean. All of our feet were black from the wood floors. Definitely expected a much cleaner home especially for the price. I would not stay here again.

The space was delightful with plenty of room and things to do to entertain our group. Katie was accommodating and very easy to communicate with.

I booked this home for my family for the weekend of my wedding. This home was a nightmare. Imagine renting a place for your family to rest their head after a long day and you can’t because you have to clean it and wash the sheets. This was it. The check- in time was at 2:00pm and the host never left instructions of how to get into the home until 4 hours later after me repeatedly calling and messaging her. I finally get a hold of her and she nonchalantly tells me the code. So whatever, my family got there before I did and as soon as I walk in the door (8pm) they drop the bomb on me and tell me the house had never been cleaned. The back door was found wide open, trash was still in the bathroom, dirty towels found on the floor, there were dirty sheets were still on the bed (with rips on the bunk bed sheets), and the knob in the shower was found on the floor of the tub. There was a puddle by the sink so something must been leaking. I called the host to let her know and she didn’t seem concerned at all. The only thing she offered was to refund the cleaning fee or send a cleaning person at 9pm. I accepted the refund because there was no point of sending a cleaning person over. My family had already begun to strip the beds and load them into the washer. We even bought our own cleaning supplies and detergent ourselves. Finally we were able to send my parents to bed at 11pm because that’s when the first set of bed sheet set finished drying. We had to do multiple loads through the night and into the early morning because we washed all the sheets for every bed and all the towels. I’ve rented many homes before and my rule if thumb is to only book homes with 4stars or more. Clearly this listing deserves far less than that. Everyone may ask why I didn’t message the call host and go off. It’s honestly because I’ve worked customer service and I know things happen. My wedding was the next day and we needed this home to get ready at since it was close to the venue. We left this home cleaner than how we found it. We followed the checkout instructions in the folder which included stripping the beds and starting the dishwasher. I don’t understand when there’s a cleaning fee if the expectation is to clean everything ourselves.

This property was really great for our needs. The main floor was wide open living. The backyard was very nice for visiting and for the kids to play. We had our large family there and it allowed us to all stay together and have good proximity to all the San Diego Area has to offer.

It’s a good property, but it seems well used. We were also never sent check in information and had to reach out the the property owner for access a few times. It was tidy but not a detail clean…pull out bed has dead bugs and stains on the sheets.

Katie was readily available to answer any questions we had. The house was amazing and just as described. It suited our needs for the time we were there.

We really enjoyed the house as it allowed our family and another to share a space while we visited LEGOLAND. Great hot tub and back yard for the kids!

House had a nice open area downstairs for the entire family to spend time together. Not many towels in the house but there are two washers and dryers. Pillows were very flat and only two per bed.

Perfect house for a family reunion. Location good for beach, Legoland and San Diego zoo’s Safari Park. Easy to keep clean.

This house was perfect for a family vacation. Close to the beach but far enough away from the crowds. Beds were comfortable. Could have used some updated pillows but that’s the only thing I can say. Kids and adults both loved it! Backyard is a dream!

The place was conveniently located to the beach and Legoland and the house was exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of space, clean, and accommodating.

The house is big and spacious, but the set up is very dysfunctional. There also was a broken window, dog poop in the yard, and a broken wine glass in the kitchen cabinet waiting to cut a hand open. There was no privacy from the neighbors, and we were constantly given glares (no surprise as our group was most minorities) all afternoon and police threats ALL night from the neighbors for literally sitting in the yard and talking BEFORE CURFEW. We didn’t even get to use the hot tub out of fear of the neighbors, and even when we moved indoors to be more quiet, they STILL threatened the cops for hearing our tv. The tv should not be placed where it is, there should be better sound proofing, and covers for the doors and windows. It was kind of amazing how bad our stay was from check in to check out. Just a fair warning, if you are a POC or is an adult that likes music and to socialize, I would not want you to experience what my friends I experienced. Also the owner ghosted me when I mentioned these concerns so good luck with communication!

We only stayed for a night, but it was perfectly lovely and the property manager was super nice. Hot tub wasn't functional. The property manager offered to come over and take a look, but it was already getting later at night and so we passed on it. All-in-all, a nice home in a good area with a responsive property manager. I'd recommend it to others.
