About this house rental
The charming Casa Pietra consists of two double bedrooms, both with private bathroom.
The kitchen / living room is very spacious and equipped with all comforts, including the fireplace, a small refrigerator, TV and decoder. There is also a two-seater sofa bed. This house also enjoys a panoramic private terrace.
Some rooms have wood-beamed ceilings and stone walls.
The lush garden, full of olive trees, is equipped with tables and chairs, where you can relax and admire the breathtaking views.
A village, the Gabbio, totally abandoned and uninhabited since the early 1900s. The only inhabitants now ... only the members of the Runcini family: Pier, Doda & little Federica Aion.
The long and tiring restoration was completed in 2011, after about thirty years of dedication, work and love. An immense recovery work by Pierfederico Runcini, architect, who dedicated part of his life to it.
All the houses are located in different buildings, like in a "diffused hotel". All the rooms of Guesthouse Runcini are housed in stone houses. Furnished according to the Umbrian tradition, some with exposed beams and terracotta floors. Some apartments have cozy and romantic fireplaces, where you can enjoy the tranquility and silence of the village.
They have been renovated with anti-seismic techniques, while maintaining the warmth and historicity that have characterized them over the centuries.
Each space has different and refined objects that give the guest the opportunity to feel at home. From the terraces you have the sensation of flying in the void dominating the entire landscape in its silence.
The terraced gardens are surrounded by olive trees and at the same time are equipped with tables and chairs to allow you to relax and admire the splendid view over the valley.
