About this house rental
Come and enjoy a wonderful holiday in a traditional 19th century Spanish town house built around an interior patio in the heart of Sant Pol de Mar, north of Barcelona. The patio brings sun and shade right into the heart of the house which complements the light and airy rooms.
Formerly a hotel, the top floor is closed off but this still leaves a huge amount of space - 380m2 - shared among 9 bedrooms (3 doubles, 6 singles) spread over 2 floors which gives everybody plenty of room to relax. The original touches are still there to appreciate, from the ornate light fittings to the wash hand basins in the rooms. But there are all the mod cons you need as well - internet connection, fully equipped kitchen and flat screen TV.
The ground floor has a huge dining room which connects to the living room. The kitchen is well fitted out with oven, hotplates, microwave, toaster, fridge and all the utensils you’ll need. This floor also has one double bedroom and 2 cloakrooms with WC. All spaces have big windows which provide lots of light and fresh air into the house.
The heart of the house is the patio. Utterly private it connects to the kitchen and is the pillar of light and freshness around which the house is built - the perfect place for everybody to sit down and enjoy dinner together.
The staircase leads you to the first floor. The other bedrooms are all here - the two doubles and the six singles all of which have either big windows or balconies to continue the theme of openness and light. Here there are views over the rooftops of Sant Pol out to the Mediterranean. There is a balcony with sun loungers off the hall as well. There are also two bathrooms with bathtubs and one cloakroom with WC. This floor also has a laundry room.
Another authentically Spanish touch to enjoy is the exterior private patio (180m2) just across the road where you can enjoy the summer evenings under the shade of the lemon trees.

Good location, short walking distance to beach, station and village shops. Nice and helpful reception. Good aeration, spacious. Old dining room is useless, with dilapidated tables and tablecloths. Garden neglected. Kitchen much too small, old gas stove with unusable oven, lack of sufficient knives, and just five small coffee cups, all broken!
