A luxury stay is awaiting you at the Bear's Cottage on Mirror Lake Drive in the Village of Lake Placid under the Short-Term Rental Permit STR-200013. You have a tranquil, wooded setting next to a small pond with your own private fire-pit. This is a 5-star cabin and great for a single or a couple wanting to be a part of Lake Placid, with a short 15- minute walk around Mirror Lake brick to the center of the village. So close but also private enough to unwind. You also have your own private drive to access your accommodations as well as plenty of room to park you boat or snowmobile trailer.
With this location you can enjoy the many attractions and activities this Olympic Village & the surrounding Adirondacks has to offer such as Whiteface Mountain, Mirror Lake (directly across Mirror Lake drive), Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum, Mid's Park, Olympic ski jumping, bobsled, tobogganing, luge, hiking trails, zip-lining, skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and many excellent restaurants. You even have a front row seat to the swim, bike and run of our famous Iron Man races. You can also have a private bonfire to toast marsh mellows just outside your door. Flat-screen TV with cable channels is provided as well as Wi-Fi. In-cabin dining is easy with amenities like refrigerator, stove and upscale silverware and place settings. Concierge services are provided, and cabin dinners can be arranged as an added cost. Premium bedding with freshly ironed sheets invites a comfortable night's sleep, and you'll find nice touches like free toiletries.

The unique location of this gem makes it so very special. The landscape and surroundings are a Adirondack dream. The beautiful appointed interior with all the necessities gives the space a luxury vibe. Walkout the door to be in nature or walk into town, makes this property a wonderful choice.

It’s a terrific area and a lovely setting among the trees. The hosts are phenomenal. They were very accommodating and thoughtful leaving all kinds of treats for snacks, and beautiful luxury soaps! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Jim and Pam are wonderful hosts. Our stay was beyond our expectations. The property is beautiful with care taken with every amenity to insure a great stay. I always say, "Buy experiences." This was a memorable trip to Lake Placid.

Words and photos don't do this place justice - it's a beautiful, relaxing retreat that will have you feeling completely refreshed after your stay in Lake Placid. From the immaculately landscaped property to the charming decor, close proximity to Mirror Lake and the lovely shops along Main Street, to the gracious hosts, you will absolutely love your stay at the Bears Cottage. I truly look forward to staying here again the next time I vacation in the Adirondacks.
