About this villa rental
Built in 2007, Whitewood Drive is a modern three-bedroom villa with high standards and an open-plan ground floor leading to a private patio and swimming pool. Located in the Bakers Wood community on Barbados' West Coast, it's an easy and convenient space to live in.
All rooms are on one level: three bedrooms (one ensuite), bathroom, kitchen, utility, and living spaces. The only steps lead to the pool and patio area, which is very private and safe for kids. Staying home can be as enjoyable as going out, with days spent around the pool.
The villa offers excellent Wi-Fi coverage from the front porch to the back deck. It includes:
· Three good-sized bedrooms with air conditioning; beds by Feather & Black.
· Master bedroom: king-size bed, three wardrobes, ensuite shower/toilet, air conditioning, TV with full package and Netflix.
· Middle and Front bedrooms: each with two single beds, double wardrobes, and air conditioning.
· 220-volt sockets in key areas alongside Bajan 110v sockets for fast charging laptops, phones, and tablets.
· Living/Dining room: three-seater + two-seater sofa, dining table for 6/8, HDTV with cable, DVD player.
· Fully equipped kitchen: granite work surfaces, gas cooker & oven, pots, pans, cutlery, food mixer, coffee maker, and gas barbecue in the garage.
Our utility area adjacent to the kitchen includes a top-loading washer and dryer in the American style.
At the rear:
Pool and Pool Deck with Loungers: The property provides exclusive access to a private pool, which is not shared or communal. The pool is available for personal use within the property's grounds. The deck area is treated with a product known as "cool deck," which ensures the deck remains cool even during hot afternoons.
Out and About:
The villa is conveniently located a five-minute drive from Mullins Beach. For golf enthusiasts, Royal Westmoreland and Apes Hill course are nearby, offering notable views and facilities. Sandy Lane course is ten minutes away.
Golf clubs and a kayak are stored in the villa and can be made available upon request. Locally, Haymans Market, five minutes away, offers music, market stores, food and drink, salsa, yoga, and various other classes, along with an outdoor space and bar.
The local beaches are renowned for their beauty, offering free access and exceptional service for food, drinks, and sunbeds.
Speightown and Holeown offer wonderful entertainment, great beaches, and excellent food and live music.
Bikes may not be available due to replacement tyres, which cannot be purchased locally. Please check on arrival.

We enjoyed a wonderful two week holiday staying in this villa in Bakers Wood. The 3 bedroom home had everything you could require for a relaxing stay. The property was clean and well maintained, with an outdoor private pool that is regularly cleaned. You can find soun or shade by the pool, with ample sunloungers. The property has flowering shrubs and trees in its garden which attracted humming birds and butterflies and we even saw some cheeky green monkeys on a couple of occasions. There is a nice seating area next to the porch where you can watch the amazing stars at night. I found the air conditioning and fan in the bedrooms to be very useful and appreciated. The kitchen has everything you need if you wish to cook, and there is a comfy lounge when you want to come in from the sunshine.
The island itself was wonderful, and can be easily driven across, there are so many beautiful places to visit, and the local people are friendly and welcoming.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property and Barbados to any visitors.
I especially enjoyed the Mount Gay Rum Factory tour and a beach called Bathsheba, fabulous. We also saw some beautiful sunsets.

Thank you Debs, for your introduction to Barbados. Your place is totally amazing! As a solo traveller the experience was fantastic, the local people were warm, welcoming and always very helpful. Taxi to or from the villa is simple, book before you leave or at the desk just in front of the airport, safe and well organised. Your holiday home is Immaculately clean, everything one could want/need. Wifi perfect. pool was bliss, car hire easy and they went above and beyond.... Even taking me out to get me orientated with local shops/bank/petrol/restaurants. The location is perfect, and driving down to Bridgetown to go on the catamaran/turtle trip was easy and fun. (They also collect you if needed) loved the turtle trip, loved exploring the island in my car, the restaurants were exquisite, looking out at the sunsets just on the beach wow.... I have travelled for many years to many locations and would put this as one of my favourites. Thank you once again Debs.... I would certainly recommend your villa to all my friends and more.... Just need to plan my return trip...
