About this house rental
Beautiful family holiday home, Basque type red and white exterior, Basque architecture, close to the beach and the famous Montalivet market. Lots of charm with large shaded garden of 800 m2, view of the pine forest not overlooked, calm guaranteed even in high season, corners in front and behind the house with outdoor tables, hammocks, barbecue ... Quiet, charming house, perfect for relaxing. Family house with vintage decor, large and beautiful garden, the distance from the beach and the market achievable by bike or on foot.

- a very bright living room (3 French windows and 1 window) with vintage decor with a dining area, a comfortable sitting area with a sofa bed Ikea 2 places, an extra bed, WiFi connection, games company, a television set with TNT and foreign channels, a library of books, a stereo, a functional fireplace (for the half season)
- an independent kitchen (renovation April 2014) equipped with new dishwasher, new fridge, stove with electric oven and ceramic hob, toaster, espresso maker, kettle, ceramic knives
- 2 bathrooms, one equipped with a jet shower, the other with a bathtub, washing machine.
- Outside, to enjoy the garden: a table and chairs, a barbecue, an electric plancha, deckchairs, a hammock, parasol, a large mat, 5 ADULT BIKES AND 2 CHILDREN + BABY SEATS ARE AVAILABLE FOR FREE with padlock ( use them well), beach games. Villa close to shops, restaurants, bars, fish market.

The house is a little ramshackle (in a good way) and that makes it more in keeping with its beautiful surroundings and adds to the overall experience. Its location is perfect - a short walk into town, a short bike ride to the beach or onto the forest cycle path. The kitchen is very well equipped which makes life easier (sharp knives! Hooray!)
The communication and the welcome from Christiane was excellent. It's a terrific place in a wondrous location. We couldn't have been happier.

We had wonderful holidays in this nice and typical house in Montalivet. We relaxed in the big garden with the big trees and enough shade. It`s a good place to have a barbecue.
We felt very comfortable in the house because of the typical authentic style of the region. The house was very clean and offered all the comfort we needed.
The short distance to the beach is a pleasure. Every morning I enjoyed to cycle with one of the bikes to the neerby beach. I had a coffee und brioche in one of the beach cafés situated in front of the sea. The market is also a big pleasure.

We rented this house with a group of friends and had a great week in Montalivet. The house is clean and has everything you need (well-equipped modern kitchen, comfy beds, big lounge/diner, washing machine etc.), and I loved the bright, retro-style decor! We spent a lot of time surfing and sunbathing at the beach, but we also spent a few days just enjoying the house, relaxing in the garden with drinks and a bbq. It feels really homely and thoughtfully furnished - there are books, games, internet, a hifi, a DVD player... The owners also left a handy folder of maps and info on activities in the area so we went on a drive to do some wine tasting and a bike ride to a nearby lake (the bikes come included with the house). I also recommend the lively market where you can do your shopping and join the locals at one of the makeshift bars that serve cold white wine and platters of fresh oysters - there's a really fun atmosphere and it's really cheap!
