About this cabin rental
We have a Log Cabin on the River for rent. This one is The Cub No Pets allowed in this one. Nestled in a picturesque mountain valley in Western North Carolina, our hand built cabin is located on the French Broad River, surrounded by the National Forest and the mountains that gave the Blue Ridge its name. Privately situated, our two-bedroom cabin has excellent views, with lots of wide open space around it, with meadows, mountains or water around it, the shady front porch is a favorite spot come rain or shine. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway you won’t find a nicer spot to settle in for a while. If an active outdoor vacation is more your style, River Lodge Log Cabins is a great place to come home to after a hard day of hiking, biking or rafting. Our riverfront cabin offers the perfect vacation getaway for couples of all ages, small families. The cabin has a vaulted ceiling in the main room, two private queen bedrooms with antique furnishings, and a bath with a shower in each bedroom. The large sunny kitchen includes a side-by-side refrigerator, a gas cook stove, a convection oven/toaster, a microwave, dishwasher, and a coffee maker, and has a comfortable dining area. The covered back porch has a hand-made swing, a roomy private hot tub and a gas grill in the yard. Other amenities include full linen service for 4, a satellite TV, Central Heat and Air and a gas fireplace (Winter Use Only). The cabin accommodates up to 4 persons. Our Hot Springs, NC cabin rental is conveniently located just a short drive northwest from Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. We have safe, easy access year-round for all types of vehicles. Many guests will appreciate the large level parking areas. This is a log cabin we built ourselves. We used tongue and groove paneling on the walls and ceilings, and the floors are a fabulous mixture of colors of wood flooring. The metal roof makes music out of rainstorms! You’ll enjoy unique features such as handmade wood countertops and trim you just don’t get in “factory-built” cabins, plus the satisfaction of knowing that local labor and love were part of creating our cabin for your enjoyment, here by the riverside. Great views , nice house but the trees by the front door are overgrown. We arrived after dark and could not hardly see to unlock the door. Some of the outside are not working. The kitchen needs some more pots and cooking utensils but other than that it was a great location and clean. Would tent again.

Our stay could not have been more amazing. Clean, comfortable, convenient, can’t tell you how relaxing it is to sit outside and hear n view the stunning river. Definitely will hopefully do this again.

The Cub was amazing! We’ve stayed twice now. The only negatives I can say are toilet paper shortage which the owner has been made aware and this should definitely be fixed in the future and a lot of dead stink bugs near the French doors. Stink bugs are everywhere right now though. The host Mary is super great!
