About this house rental
House bought and restored to accommodate vacationers of short, medium or long stays who wish to enjoy the Creuse and its attractions, not being our main house, it is entirely dedicated to this effect!
Former presbytery in the heart of a small hamlet of the Creuse, which has kept its authenticity at its best with the comfort of today!Neat decor! Furniture and objects found in flea markets in the region.
House fully enclosed in a small garden of 'priest' as it should be!
Sunny terrace overlooking a greenery, where you can have meals, barbecue or simply stroll in a deckchair!
Very beautiful tourist area where the calm and the scenery is guaranteed!
Small village ideally located which allows either walks on foot, mountain bike, or horseback in the paths and forests, along the streams ...or drive to discover our rich heritage.
Many hiking circuits ballized. Possibility also of stages for the pilgrims of the way of Compostelle (way of Vezelay) to 10 kms
Road of the Impressionists with the site of Crozant and its circuit, very beautiful walk along the Creuse!
Discover the world capital of Aubusson tapestry and its riches.
Visit the many castles and churches. (Boussac, Villemonteix Montaigut white, Chantemille ....)
But also visit the scenovision Benevento Abbey where we discover that was the life of our canton, the last century!
Tour and ride with the little train at the site of the old mines From Bosmoreau.
Beach at Masmengeas pond about twenty minutes away. Organic pool in Marsac (15 min)
Visit the museum of war, its media, its cinemas, its amménagé lake with beaches and activities. Covered swimming pool, bouling, equestrian center, its giant labyrinth, its miniatute farm, its park with the wolves, and also its marked paths for VTT track And of course Gueret with its shops and tastings of specialties.
Visit the Museum of Electricity in Bourganeuf, first electrified city in France but also its famous tower Zizim!
Visit the museum Martin Nadaud, and the life of the masons of the Creuse who left to build the buildings Haussmaniens of Paris.
Visiting Limoges, the capital of porcelain and enamel with all their expertise! Possibility to buy the porcelain factory outlet!
Visit of the Oradour memorial on Glane in Haute Vienne
Visit the largest artificial lake in Europe: Lake Vassiviere with its ballads on the plateau of 'thousand cows', its heather and its mushrooms!
But also its water sports and beaches.
And of course during the high season, many cultural activities and night shows (tour de Bridiers) concerts, theme party on Dun le Palestel, dinner concerts every Tuesday at the restaurant of Celle dunoise at the edge of the water.

Absolutely beautiful house in a very quiet location surrounded by countryside. Bernadette was very welcoming. There was an extra charge for bedding, towels and cleaning which wasn't clear when booked. Also Bernadette asks for a 1000 euro deposit payable on arrival but we negotiated a lower deposit as we didn't have that much cash, which she was happy with. There were a lot of antiques around the house which were lovely to look at. To make the house perfect I would recommend another sofa in the lounge instead of the additional table and chairs. We visited Lac de Vassiviere, the lake at Gueret, the lake and bar just outside Sardent, a couple of markets - one in Bourganeuf and one in Gueret, Oradour sur Glane. An Indian take away van visits Auberge de Lac near Sardent on a Friday evening - the food was freshly cooked and delicious. We would like to return one day.
