TENUTA SANTA BARBARA IN CAPRANICA (VT) is a unique place: it stands on a tuffaceous spur surrounded by chestnut and oak forests and dominates the valley adjacent to the archaeological park of Sutri.
The natural landscape of this ancient region of Tuscia has been preserved intact, and this makes Santa Barbara a particularly attractive location.
The large farmhouse LA STALLA, ideal for groups, is rented out for exclusive use. A place of tranquillity amidst gardens, hazel groves and a wooded valley.

It is also strategically located: 50 km from Rome, 30 km from Viterbo; the Capranica-Sutri railway station is only a 15-minute walk from the property. By regional train you can reach the SAN PIETRO station in Rome in only 1h15min.

More in detail, 'La Stalla' is a cosy one-storey farmhouse, large and comfortable, surrounded by a flower garden and a pleasant panoramic swimming pool. It is ideal for hosting groups of friends and families, and an ideal place to organise country events.
Its special feature is a comfortable and spacious convivial living room open to the garden with shaded, flower-filled pergola verandas. There are sofas, a fireplace, a large table and a more intimate TV/game room. The 2 kitchens, equipped and quaint, have access to the garden. For overnight accommodation there are 9 double bedrooms (8 of which have en-suite bathrooms) each with its own hallway to provide a little more privacy; there is also a studio with sofa beds (sleeps 3) and a triple bedroom;
The pool overlooks an extensive landscape of chestnut, beech, fruit trees and cultivated fields;
in the garden there is a characteristic pergola wood-burning oven, surrounded by aromatic herbs (sage, rosemary, oregano, mint, thyme, laurel, basil) rincosperna, and a large cherry tree.

a supermarket, a tobacconist, and a drinks wholesaler are only 1 km away. Restaurants with good local food are located in the historic centre of Capranica, Sutri and Vetralla only 3-8km away.

Strategically located, Rome is easily reachable: only 50km - 50 minutes by car. (1h10 by regional train to St. Peter's Station / St. Peter's Basilica; 1. 20h to Trastevere Station; or 50 min. by car). Both railway stations are connected to Rome's Leonardo da Vinci airport.

Viterbo is also only 30 km away. (20 min. by car). One can easily visit the region and reach various places of historical, archaeological and natural heritage.
The ancient town of Sutri, in the immediate vicinity (5 km) of the estate, offers numerous monuments of special interest, such as the Etruscan metropolis, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Mitreo. Capranica is the nearest town: you can visit the intact medieval quarter.
Not too far away, you can visit many fascinating towns in the region 'La Tuscia', its natural beauties, such as the lakes (Bracciano, Vico and Martignano) or the thermal baths ('Stigliano' and 'Terme dei Papi') . One can go horseback riding on a beautiful and extensive estate nearby (San'Elia) where one can discover the trails near Lake Vico.
Relevant destinations that can be easily reached by car are: Tuscania, Bagnaia, San Martino al Cimino, Barbarano Romano, Canale Monterano, Caprarola, Bomarzo, Montefiascone 45km / 50 min; Orvieto is 70 km (1h30).
