Glendalough boasts an expansive wide water view of the lake and Smith Mountain. This point property sits on 1023 feet of lake front, almost 5 acres of wooded and open lawn, with two large docks and large fire-pit.
Decorated with antiques and a period Adirondack styling, you'll feel comfortable and at home the minute you walk in the door, and straight out to one of the two screened porches. The lake surrounds the property on three sides and becomes your constant companion.
With an occupancy level of 16, you'll find that Glendalough is the perfect spot for a family reunion or corporate retreat. Glendalough retains much of her original charm, but with a few modern conveniences. You'll enjoy the Wifi, Xfinity TV Service, DVD, Blu-Ray and VCR players. No smoking in the house, please.
Work or play office space is equipped with Xfinity internet, Smart TV, USB ports and HDMI connections. Lift top coffee table that can also serve as a desk.
14 may be served at the dining table, and there's seating for six more on the screened porch off the main floor.
There’s a 2nd screen porch on the lower-level which houses the 7-person hot tub!
On the main dock, there's a canoe waiting for your enjoyment of the early morning mist or sunset over the lake. This dock offers gorgeous views of Smith Mtn , along with an elevated party deck.
The secondary dock sits nearby to the house and offers additional space for boat tie-up.

Beautiful place! Lots of room! Property was advertised as pet friendly but we were not able to bring the 3 dogs we planned on, only one 8 lb dog. There was an old chicken wing in the cushion of the chair which was rather distasteful but that’s really up to the cleaning folks. Having to make up and strip your own beds is a little more than anyone wants to do on vacation but it is certainly known beforehand. Kitchen is VERY well equipped. Views from the dock are amazing! A little disappointed that we needed to bring hand soap for every bathroom. We had 5 cars and parking was difficult so if there are more, it will be tighter. Excellent neighborhood to walk in and have children in. Overall, we would certainly return but would be better prepared for some of the nuances.

Every year our family (16) rent a place in the mountains pre thanksgiving. This year we decided on a lake property and we decided that this was the best location for our various ages of our grandkids. We do expect to return soon

My group spent a week at Glendalough and had a great time. The property met all of our needs and allowed for all to have fun. The firepit, dock area, hot tub and porches were the main gathering places for conversation, games and napping. The location was private enough for the kids to make a little noise and not worry about the neighbors, yet close enough to the marina's to meet the boating needs. This part of the lake was also great for pleasure crafting, water sports and fishing. Very comfortable furnishings, well equipped kitchen and house layout was perfect for our group. I will rent this property again and have shared my thoughts with family, friends and co workers. You have a real gem!!!!!
