4 bedroom, 3 bath, 3 level cedar contemporary. Well equipped kitchen, dining area and living room w/50" flatscreen TV and beautiful brick, wood-burning fireplace (available during the fall and winter).
Main level bedroom w/king bed and attached bathroom.
Upper level with 2 bedrooms (1 w/ a queen and the other with 2 twin beds) and a bathroom.
Lower level offers bedroom (w/queen bed) w/attached bathroom and family room w/50" flatscreen TV and ping pong table.
Nice walkway leading built-in fire-pit & dock, which offers covered boat slip & jet ski slip w/hoists, floating dock, lockable storage room w/mini fridge and radio, lights, electricity, 2 kayaks and a paddleboard! MOUNTAIN VIEW SHORES is a lovely development with many year-round homes, it features a private boat ramp area where you may park your boat trailer for the duration of your stay. It has paved roads and central water system. Ideal for walkers and joggers. Lake location is supreme being near the mountain and the dam at the deepest, cleanest part of the lake. The land was originally owned by the Appalachian Power Company (which owns the lake) and a group of 10 investors from Bedford bought the land from the Power Company in the late 1970's and developed the subdivision comprised of over 400 lots, offering the land for sale one section per year, selling out in 4 years.

We appreciated the cleanliness, layout, lake and peaceful setting. Top floor has two bedrooms and bathroom. Main floor has master and ensuite. Basement has bedroom and bathroom. Made it easy to create some divided spaces and worked well for our group.
Firepit was fun. The lake was lovely and there were items to help enjoy the lake - life vests, a few toys and kayaks, and standup paddle board (paddle for paddle board is missing).
Only downsides were the spotty internet service and lack of seasonings in the kitchen. (Seasonings were not listed in the listing. I am used to having a few, like cinnamon, left by other guests.)
I prefer places with the keypad but the office staff was welcoming and picking up the keys was an easy process.

We had a great time. The place was just as described. Felt very comfortable and homey. The lay out of the house was ideal for privacy and most anything you need for cooking is in the kitchen. (Bring a can opener tho) The property management team was superb and made the process super easy. Wonderful getaway that I would definitely recommend!

Thank you for a great visit and weekend! We brought 6 kids, so the downstairs game room was a big hit. Water access and water equipment worked great; very nice dock. Chilly weekend in April, so we got to enjoy the fire pit area as well. Hope to return soon!
