Nice stay in this House!

After driving for an hour and a half around bend after bend we arrived at what could only be discribed as a cold unwelcoming dingy house known as Villa Pratovecchio 488168 absolutely nothing like the promotion photo. It was Cold. Poorly Equipped. Dirty. Kitchen Cabinets Falling Apart. No Kettle or Toaster. Electrical Wiring with Tape on the Joints. None Safety Glass on All Doors and Windows. The interior was sparse, the furniture looked like it was from secondhand shop.TV was balanced on an old pot cupboard! The shower waste kept blocking backing up and flooded the floor. No sink plugs in any of the sinks, the heating wasnt working on arrival when it was finally fixed yet another bomb shell were then told that we had to pay for the Gas Electric and wifi on top of the ridiculously high rental charge! The outside had not seen any attention for a long time the BBQ was covered in leaves the shelves were broken and covered in old grease - not usable. The Fantastic Pool on arrival had not been cleaned. the whole place looked as though it had not been used for years, over grown with weeds, broken branches, broken down garden gates. Our friends flew in to meet us from Dubai expecting as we did a luxury villa, there was nothing luxurious about Villa Pratovecchio ID No 488168 we were so upset and dissapointed we only stayed 5 nights out of 14 nights we'd paid for and to try and salvage our holiday we booked in to a hotel at an extra cost. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND VILLA PRATOVECCHIO ID NUMBER 488168

We initially tried to book a different villa, but it was unavailable on the dates we requested. Monica got in contact with us and was very helpful in finding us alternative accommodation which was Villa Benfenati. This was a beautiful old villa with lots of character inside. Wooden shutters on the windows, tiled floors and a stone staircase rounded out its period look. It is in its own grounds overlooking the village of Pratovecchio. The private pool is quite large and a short walk away down a path through some trees, still on your own personal grounds. Near the pool is a set of swings, rockers for smaller children and a table tennis table for the bigger kids. Not far away from this is a barbeque area with a seating. The villa was very spacious and comfortable to live in and we woke up to peace, quiet and beautiful views. We spent several nights sat outside enjoying the beautiful views with a glass of local wine and even watched the full moon rise over the mountains. Monica was really warm and friendly with great knowledge of the area, all the best restaurants to visit as well as the dates and times of the local markets and fairs. She explained the local transport systems and even offered to help purchase our train tickets for our planned outings. On our arrival she brought us home baked cake and homemade pasta later in the week. Overall we had a wonderful week and we highly recommend talking to Monica for any bookings you may wish to make.

La villa è molto bella. Piscina grande e pulita. Affaccio splendido, situata vicina al paese in posizione predominante e silenziosa. Abbiamo trovato quello che cercavamo. Grazie per la piacevole sorpresa.
