The apartment we rented was so lovely, with an ocean view and airconditioning. Angelo's son Dario was so lovely to us and came and picked us up when we couldn't find the place. Dario was also very helpful whenever we had a problem! I would highly recommend this place, and when you go try the "traditional Sicilian Seafood Menu" that the family prepares for you, it was incredible! Thank you so much Dario and Angelo, and the rest of the family!

We arrived Palermo airport & set off for Alcamo Marina to meet Jesmin & get to the house. Easy ride along main highway. House clean & ready for our arrival. BIG hill to drive car up & in the secure parking area but recommend not to get a stickshift :) Everything as described & in pictures w peaceful surroundings and lovely breezes, early morning light on porch. Kids stayed in small annex, which isnt part of the main house, but a few steps across the patio.. has double bed & bunk beds in 1 room w beautiful bathrm. Pool a real joy for kids even w beach walking distance, could swim whenever we wanted. Beach is a downhill walk, no beach chairs or anything in the house so bring mats or big sheets w you. Beautiful sandy beach, one of the few we visited not rocks or pebbles. Owner Angelo & his sons very responsive to questions about how things work, or if not working well. We had no issues w anything. I will say, there are no screens on the windows which is common for Sicily but makes for some disrupted sleep w mosquitoes.. I recommend bring SKinSOSOft or other bug repellant for your comfort. Market is walk down the hill to the villa, as is excellent restaurant Sunshine, right on the beach (head left, go past the roundabout, cross the tracks and youre there.. you cant miss the sign). Very close to major roads for sight seeing, and easy ride to Castellammare, fabulous town just a few miles west. Alcamo town is inland about 5 km. We were told by Jesmin about a festa there the weekend we arrived, what a fun evening! Beautiful town, had it not been Festa, wouldve loved to walk about and see more of it. Excellent bakery & some good restaurants on the main street of the cathedral there.House is well equipped w most things one needs on vacation, pots, dishes, glasses, good sized fridge. No d/w or microwave. Washer works great, made for bringing less clothing;there is a dryer rack on the porch to sundry clothes. Beds & bedding were very clean & comfortable. You provide your own necessities after 1st rolls of toilet paper, including dish detergent, paper towels, soap for laundry. Checking out was a breeze w prompt return of our deposit. There is a concern for folks who have trouble walking, not just w this home, but most of Sicily.. there are HILLS and STAIRS everywhere it seems. I am not sure this would be a great place for someone who needs assistance, walker, wheelchair, etc. Otherwise be ready for a good workout, it is worth it.
