A private secluded retreat villa not too close to the beach yet not too far away.

This villa I stayed in is very well-concealed, a perfect oasis hideout for privacy and relaxation. Although I stayed alone, I could see it was an ideal two-bedroom space for a family of 4 (2 parents and 2 kids). The little pool was great for soaking in on hot days with an inside-pool light which makes it very nice for a dip in the evenings (and also great for checking if kids are swimming in there if you're a parent). There was plenty of ambient well-landscaped yard and porch space (also well lit with lamps and well-ventilated with ceiling fans). More than enough air conditioning for cooling the bedrooms (also with ceiling fans) and a decent kitchen with all the utensils and plates/glassware and full baking gas stove with burners for cooking. The villa is also suited for small private parties. Also important to note that there were two bedrooms in my villa and both had full bathrooms with showers. There were also enough electric outlets for my hair dryers, powerbanks, smartphones, laptop computer, and also the nice fancy powerful bluetooth speaker provided by the property for my music. The property is a 15-minute walk to the nearest beach, but with the narrow streets and traffic it's much easier to rent a motorbike or taxi bike there. There's a currency exchange not even a minute away. For other places it's a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest ATM, convenience store, restaurants, bars, post office, and about a 20-min walk to the Bintang Supermarket (and I did walk to all these places).

This isn't the fault of the property but there are about 3 other places named Villa Eight (or 8) that show up on GPS so make sure you check the street address to make sure you have the right location.

Nice enough and good value but don’t expect to use kitchen for anything.

Kitchen facilities almost negligible. Oven too dirty or old to use. No toaster, no coffee maker. Very few utensils such as cutlery, crockery or cooking pans.

Nice place to stay! The pool is small but perfect for a quick dip to cool off anytime. There’s a lovely outdoor kitchen area (we didn’t cook, but it’s great to have). Really appreciated the water dispenser, and the bed was comfortable for a good night’s sleep.

The beach is about a 15–20 minute walk, which felt a bit long at times.

Ok but disappointing from what we were expecting from the pictures.

This was not what we were expecting from the pictures. At one point, this must have been a great place but it’s a bit run-down. When we arrived, we were met by the night guard who asked me to work the credit card machine. There is no lock on the outside door. We were really hoping and looking forward to a better place. In the end it was an ok, stay but the pictures make it look much better.

I really thought it would be nicer, from the photos. This villa needs major upgrades. Furniture in the villa was old, every plug outlet was horrible and scarce. I was hesitant to even use the outdoor kitchen. The bathrooms had a sewage smell as soon as we walked into it.

A week in paradise

Absolutely everything. I booked the stunning two bedroom villa with a pool. After six months of travelling Asia, I was looking for somewhere I could relax for the week. The location of the villa is great. All the shops, salons and bars are on your doorstep and the beach is super close too. The staff were all so welcoming and lovely. It was my 40th birthday during the week and they came with a birthday cake and candles and sang happy birthday to me which was really lovely, especially since I am solo travelling! The kitchen was well equipped so for the first time in months I was able to cook! It also had a Bluetooth speaker, TV, water machine for hot and cold, air con, ceiling fans, a freezer stocked with ice and everything else you could wish for to have a perfect stay. Every day the amazing housekeeping team came and cleaned the pools, made the bed, cleaned the kitchen and just made everything just perfect again. The security team popped by each evening with anti mosquito incense and to turn the pool lights on.

Only that the pool didn’t get enough sun to warm the water up. It could be pretty cold!

Villa Eight Seminyak

Villa Eight was very comfortable and quiet despite it being very close to Seminyaks busy nightlife. The staff were amazing, and nothing was any trouble for them. It was kept in great condition, clean and comfortable. Linda was very nice and helpful, ensuring that we had a nice relaxing time. The pool was amazing, and our location was a short stroll to the main road in Seminyak, so it was easy to find what you wanted. Thankyou to Linda and her team.

Old, run down, not what is advertised, checkout within 2 hours of arriving. Extremely disappointed.

Nothing..

This property is not what was advertised. The pictures are not true to what the property looks like. It is a very old run down property with a few things not working correctly. It is actually a 6 bedroom property but was advertised as a 4 bedroom. They lock the other rooms after you choose the rooms you want. Or should I say what they tell you should stay in. The bathrooms are old and run down. The security was terrible, to lock the main gate you had to use a broom stick. Whilst we sat in the old run down living area with only 1 fan working a staff member walked in, didn’t say a thing and grab the microwave and walked out. Kitchen was dirty and very old. Safe box was not secure and unacceptable to put your passports etc in. Garden was extremely average and the pool was dirty. Our family was that disappointed with this property we checked out within 2 hours of arriving. Unfortunately we lost our entire cost of this property as it was prepaid but feel staying there would make the remainder of our time in Bali miserable. When discussing our disappointment with the front manger she was rude and argumentative. There was one worker who showed compassion and was apologetic to how the property was. I would not recommend this property.

Mind blowing for a very reasonable price

Exceptional villa, a lot of space, great facilities. The reception helps to arrange dinner, massage, transport. The big villa is perfect for large gatherings, but the design of the Deluxe 2 bedroom is astonishing.

They were 1 hr late to finish the big villa clean up because the previous guests checked out late... so not really their fault

good location and easy walking distance around Seminyak. tucked away from the main road and quite in the villa. staff were helpful and friendly. late check out of 12 pm as standard making for a nice sleep in. The pool in the 2 bedroom villa was a nice size for the 4 of us and we loved that the villa has a great speaker system that connected wirelessly to our phone to play music while we swam. Each room had its own split system aircon making it nice to control the individual temperature we wanted. the bathroom was nice and big with a large shower. Beds were really comfortable and had mosquito nets around them. Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and full sized fridge. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. Both rooms had their own TV.

lots of bugs in and around the pool and sitting area of the villa. leaches we’re on the ground, lots of ants and lizards. No power points on the bath room and no easily accessible free PowerPoints in the bed rooms made it hard to use things like phone chargers, the hairdryer and shavers etc. There was only 1 bathroom with a clogged sink, and the toilet was in the bathroom which made it difficult with 4 Adults and timing showers, and going to the toilet. There were not enough towels for both pool use and shower use for 4 Adults, the tiled areas out side near pool become very slippery and there’s nothing to clean the water up with, unless you use a towel which there is limited supply of. Reception did not appear to be open 24/7.

Amazing location & large villa with professional, super friendly team!

Can't beat the location of these Villa's. So quiet but close to heart of seminyak. The pool was beautiful and the outdoor area was fantastic. Villa was large and the staff were super friendly, professional and helpful. The gardens around the pool created a sense of an oasis - just gorgeous.

The villa itself was the deluxe (not the super deluxe which is important) as these looked AMAZING. Our villa offered two good size rooms with a central bathroom. The villa was old and in need of renovation - especially the bathroom & electrical wiring - don't bother trying to dry your hair. We would definitely return but look to lease the Super Deluxe Villas next time.

Amazing Location, Great Staff

The location is amazing --- near the restaurants and bars and shops! It's also only under 5 minutes from the beach via a motorbike. The place is wonderful, and more importantly the staff is amazing! Dina and tthe crew are always warm and lovely! Amazing stay!

I was taken a back by the giant collection of portraits of men in the bathroom. It wasnt a big deal. Just coming into a new space and having many faces look at you was odd. Other than that, everything was okay :)

Some great parts - but terrible lighting and bathrooms - and unhelpful staff really killed the stay

Walkable location - nice swimming pool with a nice sit out area - Well equipped kitchen and living room - good bluetooth speakers were a nice touch Comfortable bed - ac worked well and ensured you were frozen by the morning

The room was poorly lit - to the point that could not see things clearly at night The bathroom was dismal - small tiny and infested with insects. Used outdoor bathrooms throughout my two week bali stay so i understand insects can be an issue - but this one was absolutely disgusting The staff at the villa were helpful - however the reception staff were indifferent - watched all of us struggle with our suitcases and bags on departure - and did not even leave the comfy environs of their AC office - just watched us suffer

Great location, great villa

Aircon in both rooms, ensuites in both rooms, spacious living room, great pool and fast wifi reaching all areas. Amazing restaurant, “Kilo Kitchen” across the road.

Some issues with cleaning, initially upon checking in the villa was nice and clean, better than most Bali villas in this price range. However, there was no daily cleaning, we had to request this. Apparently the daily cleaning is included as standard but, there was “a communication error”. At this price range we expected something better.

Deceiving pictures, very disappointing and dirty

The pictures were not at all representing the condition of the villa. It was very dirty. There was still bad food in the fridge that was not cleaned. All the linens were smelly. They didn't provide enough towels. The floors was dusty. Took the picture of mosquito net on top of my bed and there was black particles showing that it hasn't been cleaned. Toilets were working but smelly too The staff didn't respond to our complaints and only replied to our message more than a day after. We left the villa and moved to another place because we couldn't stand it

The space is huge and spacious. Each of the bedrooms have ensuite. Plenty of space for sits and also work.

The sofa sets in the living room were a bit dirty and there’s no duvet for the beds, only single sheet of white cloth. Some of the areas in the corner were dusty too.

Nice stay!

This 2 bedroom villa is clean, location is perfect, quite and relaxing. They have cooking utensils, recommended for long stay. Staff is friendly and politely inform about the water problem.

There was small issue with water pump, so the shower is very slow.
