Villa Petra -Fantastic Sea and Mountain Views, High speed internet in all rooms

The property was very clean and well presented and the kitchen, well equipped .Each bedroom was supplied with ample towels and toiletries. There were lovely views of sea and mountains. Since we arrived late at night, a welcome basket would have been appreciated. The only item in the fridge was a bottle of water. However there was a good supply of basic items such as tea, coffee and condiments . Everyday cleaning materials were plentiful including dishwasher and washing machine capsules.It would be an advantage to have cushions on the loungers, especially for older clients. It would also have been better if bedding and towels were changed halfway through the stay rather than three days before the end.There was no difficulty in making contact with the owner who was extremely helpful.The rental villa next door was closer than expected which could have been intrusive in our case had it been occupied for example by a family.All in all , we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at Villa Petra was unforgettable. The villa offers a breathtaking panoramic view over the hills of western Crete, stretching all the way to the sea. We especially loved watching the cruise ships passing by in the distance while relaxing on the terrace or in the pool.The house itself is well-equipped and thoughtfully designed. Each room has air conditioning, which made our stay very comfortable, and the villa lacked nothing. With three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a beautifully furnished open-plan living room and kitchen, there was plenty of space for everyone.Although the interiors are cozy and inviting, we spent most of our time outside. The terrace and pool area are perfect to relax, and in the evenings we sometimes went up to the rooftop terrace to admire the stars - in the rural darkness you can see so many of them!The location is ideal for exploring western Crete. Rethymno, Chania, and several beaches are within easy reach, and there are charming local tavernas nearby. For excursions, we highly recommend visiting the impressive archaeological site of Ancient Aptera with its amphitheater and cisterns, as well as the atmospheric cave church of Agia Sofia.If we ever travel to Crete again, we would definitely return to Villa Petra. It is a truly unique and special place that made our holiday perfect.Thanks a lot, Christine!

Lovely house with a private swimming pool in a great location, conveniently located near Chania. However, a car is necessary to reach the beach.

Location is perfect for serving as a home base for exploring Crete. The villa has awesome water and mountain views and is located near a quiet village (which has a 12th century church per my husband). We enjoyed the fig tree in the backyard, the neighborhood cat, being able to drive up the mountain a little way to see the goats (and hear their bells), and the pool. Chania is a short drive away as are beaches, good restaurants and cafes.
