Olga’s Filoxenia villas comprises two traditional two-storey luxurious independent houses, superbly situated in the heart of the small preserved & tranquil village of Maheri, with a stunning view of the sea below, the peaks of the white mountains behind and the castles & solitary chapels around.
They are fully furnished and exclusively built in stone & wood to match their surroundings.
VILLA ALADANOS is a two-storey luxurious house with a private pool in the comfortable courtyard with deck-chairs, table with chairs, umbrella and barbeque and an outdoor heated jacuzzi in the terrace with amazing views.
The ground floor has a bedroom with 3 single-beds and a sofa-bed, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with shower, a loft with double-bed, a fully equipped kitchen with bathroom, a sitting room with hand-made table and 6 chairs, a spacious open plan living room with sofas, TV LCD, DVD player, stereo, Wi-Fi internet connection and fireplace. On the first floor there is the master bedroom with a double-bed, wardrobe and en-suite luxurious bathroom with bathtub. Furthermore, the beautiful balcony with table, chairs and umbrella with fantastic view to the sea and the mountains.
It is an ideal place for relaxation in the tranquil and traditional village of Maheri and a starting point for hiking and for acquaintance with the rich fauna and flora of island and the innumerable historical and prehistoric monuments. It can offer you an unforgettable holiday experience with its comforts, beauty and spectacular views.
Furthermore, you can taste Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine in many traditional taverns in the area and of course you can enjoy the beautiful sandy beach resorts of Kalives and Almerida just a short drive away from the villa and 23 km from the historical yet modern town of Chania with its beautiful Venetian harbour.

An exceptionally clean and spacious villa with private pool & hot tub. About 15mins drive from the nearest beach and decent sized supermarket. A car is a must. The village is very small and quiet with just a taverna that opens for meals Fri-Sun evenings. Surrounding villages are 5mins drive with a few more tavernas on offer. So definitely a peaceful, relaxing mountain retreat.
The villa sleeps 7 in a double bed upstairs, a room of 3 singles off the living room and a double on a mezine off the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with a good selection of glass types inc wine and champagne glasses, plates, bowls, pans etc. There's a big fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven/grill/hob and outdoor gas BBQ. There were some dishwasher tablets, washing machine capsules & washing-up liquid available to use.
The host is very communicative and it all ran smoothly. The pool had inflatables we could use (lilo and donut) and balls. Aircon worked well.

We had an amazing stay at the villa and overall we can honestly say the best holidays on Crete island. We were looked after from the moment we booked the villa, the communication was flawless. The villa has good absolutely everything we needed to make us feel relaxed. The building itself is a masterpiece and tastefull. We relaxed by the pool and jacuzzi every day. The kitchen is very vell equipped. We also used BBQ.I would also mention that the house is in a traditional mountain village with its own tavern with breathtaking views and the nearest beach is not far either. We are really happy to choose this villa to be part of experiencing Crete. We loved every moment.
