Venus Apartments - Keleti I

I had a wonderful stay. The host was exceptional, friendly, welcoming, and always available to help. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Nothing at all. Everything exceeded my expectations.

The apartment was comfortable for two. The location is very convenient, close to public transport, a short walk away from the Keleti station, city park, many ships and restaurants nearby. The building although a bit run down feels safe and the atmosphere is amazing. The apartment stays cool during sunny days. The bathroom and kitchen are enough for a short stay and we found the bed comfortable.

Just a few minor things: we weren't provided with a dish sponge by mistake. The owner did offer to bring one later but it was more convenient to just buy one. We found it surprising that the apartment didn't have any bowls; we had to get creative as with breakfast cornflakes :) Some parts of the apartment felt in need of refurbishing. Our water heater stopped working on our last day. The owner sent a repairman, but it turned out that the whole building didn't have gas so there was nothing he could do. Some wall lights didn't seem to be working for no apparent reason.

It was a lovely apartment in a beautiful building. It was very spacious and comfortable, and the welcome snacks were a thoughtful and appreciated touch. It felt safe and secure even though the apartment is located in a slightly run down area outside the centre of Budapest. It was warm and cosy and the kitchen facilities were good for cooking. It was close to a few excellent gyms which was a priority for us, but also close to supermarkets and a nice walk away from the city centre.

Overall the apartment was excellent, but for a longer stay it would benefit from a washing machine and dryer. There was no floor brush and only one drying cloth, and again, for longer stays like ours these would have been beneficial. A couple of ovenproof dishes would have been useful and some oven gloves. The icebox door latch was broken so it didn’t close which was a little frustrating, but we improvised.
