A simple accommodation with lovely staff and great food. The location is remote and peaceful but facilities are nearby. There is a trail to the river close by which is magical and so worth the walk. The grounds are beautiful and the resident animals are friendly. We had dinner and breakfast which were both delicious.

Set in charming gardens, this posada was full of character with spacious clean cabins, a lovely dining area and relaxation room. Excellent WiFi and the restaurant provided great local cooking. The owner Geraldina and her assistant Rosie very lovely and welcoming.

This family run hotel is a quaint but well kept older establishment. It has beautiful gardens, hummingbird feeders and many wild birds in the area. The included breakfast is prepared fresh and is the typical, very tasty Costa Rican fare with self serve coffee or teas. The hotel is well situated to the Rio Celeste with its powder blue water, Volcan Tenorio and all the other various excursions in the area.
Although nothing to do with the hotel, be sure to bring some bug repellent if you plan on doing any hikes.
