Staying at Eirini-Ioanna was an integral part of our holiday: a welcoming, homely place to come back to after exploring the most beautiful beaches and villages of Kefalonia. The apartments are tidy, spotlessly clean, and fully functional. Every morning we had breakfast on the small terrace, surrounded by mountains and pastures, with a flock of sheep coming to visit us at the same time every day. The apartments are set within a courtyard and garden, beautifully lit up in the evening with colourful lights. Before choosing Eirini-Ioanna, I had considered places closer to the seafront and the promenade: that would have been a completely wrong choice, and a more expensive one too! Sami's sea and beach aren't really unmissable, so it's better to stay a bit further out, surrounded by greenery, and use this place as a base for day trips. In any case, it's just a 12-minute walk to the harbour/town centre, and only 6 minutes to the mini-market: extremely convenient. Last but not least, the warm welcome from Ioanna and her family, who make you feel right at home with their kindness and attentiveness — like when we found delicious homemade biscuits waiting in our room. I couldn't have made a better choice, and I can only recommend Eirini-Ioanna.
