Santa Maria Leuca: Apartment/ flat - Santa Maria Leuca

We were two families with total of 5 children staying between 02-09.7.2016.House is very large, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped with everything needed for vacation. It is surrounded with garden with small trees (olives, pears, figs etc) and flowers which add to the ambient. Inside two fully functional and equipped (one it has even a washing machine that might be handy for families with small kids) bathrooms, three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen (oven, 4 stoves, refrigerator, freezer etc), dining room. Although it has a dining room it is much more convenient when you eat outside under the "grande" veranda( behind the house) , or having coffee at the beautiful and cozy terrace in front of the house. The house has two entrances (very useful), also a garage(handy when you have two families with two cars) and the yard is spacious enough for the second car, so parking is solved. Regarding the sandy beaches , there is one, so called "city beach", somewhere 300 meters near the port in the center of the town. Also there is one (which i recommend and i have used it ) some 3 kilometers northwest with free parking. Also you can use it famous" Maldives of Salento:" which is somewhere 12 kilometers in the same direction like previous one, but you have to pay for parking. Last but not least the owner, signor Carmelo, is a very unique person, that complete the overall excellent picture of this property. A person so generous and kind(when we came he has already fill the fridge with some water, soda drinks, coffee, milk and a box of very delicious candies) that it is very rare to meet. He was always available to meet our demands(he helped me a lot with travel agency for a ferry tickets) gave us some tour around the province(although he has already printed out some useful information regarding the place). Hard working, busy but available and ready for own guests(he also gave tours with a own boat through the caves, produce olive oil, which by the way is a must), always smiling with good manners, excellent owner. Real friend i can say, at least for me and my family. Unforgettable. Two things that might be improved ( not necessarily but optionally), larger TV screen( house has Sat TV, but the screen is little small), and internet connection, preferably WI-FI. Overall, it has been an excellent choice for us , hopefully we will go again in the near future and i strongly recommended to all my friends and relatives.
