Hobart Character - Scenic Views in Bustling Locale

Flat was nicely decorated ,specious and had all facilities needed for a pleasant stay. It is some 30 min walk to Hobart downtown , Salamanka markets and ferry terminal. There is a restaurant below the flat but we didn't experience any problems while it was open.

Bed was nice but due to its light frame it could move and in some position it squeaked a lot. We managed to minimize that problem by moving bed a bit. Kitchen is well equipped but pots and pans need changing.

We spent four nights in the upstairs North View apartment across Christmas, our second stay. The apartment is spacious and very well appointed, with many comfortable features. The restaurant below was shut; traffic noise was minimal, even with open windows. There is a dedicated car space, useful in this area. We chose the location to be close to family. It is also near good restaurants and the city, but no practical groceries etc, apart from a service station, so shop first.

We were given two bath towels for three of us. My text was answered and delivery organised. For such a well-equipped place, surely spare linen would be a reasonable inclusion, especially for longer stays. (Note that there is a gap in time when emergency contact is possible, and messages may not go through.) Staircase needs sensor lighting like the downstairs apartments. The price was more than double what we paid across a weekend in October school holidays in 2024 - seems excessive, even for Christmas.

Loved the location and ease of access and parking. Would highly recommend and will be back for sure

While the property was excellently presented and provisioned it was located above a restaurant. This was not clear when we booked to stay at the property. Sounds from the restaurant were clearly audible and it was excessively loud on Saturday evening when a DJ was operating. We complained to the restaurant at 10:30 pm which was their advertised closing time. They responded by closing down at 11:00 pm. During the week we had to put up with banging fridge doors each evening they were operating. It is a shame that the noise from the restaurant hasn’t been dealt with as in all other respects the property is delightful.
