Bobocha Siladen Boutique Resort

Absolutely stunning location with wonderful views. The property is situated along the best part of the house reef, so amazing snorkelling right off the beach, and the water is shockingly warm - like bath water! The diving points are also world-class, with surreal underwater seascapes. Sarah and Andrew have done a wonderful job with Bobocha. They provide such a personalised experience - very different from the clinical feel of a larger resort. The vibe and nature of Bobocha is incredibly charming, with things like family-styled dinners, creating a lovely sense of community, and becoming a conduit for story-swapping with other travellers at the end of each day. Wasn't what I expected, but was very pleasantly surprised.

AC could've been stronger, and staying here made me miss iced water. But everything else was fantastic!

Il soggiorno a Bobocha Siladen è stato nel complesso piacevole: i bungalow sono molto curati, ben arredati e immersi in un contesto naturale splendido. Il resort si trova proprio di fronte a uno dei tratti migliori della barriera corallina di Siladen: bastano maschera e tubo per nuotare con le tartarughe direttamente dalla spiaggia, un’esperienza davvero speciale. Andrew è estremamente disponibile e fa di tutto per venire incontro alle esigenze degli ospiti. Anche il servizio di trasferimento in arrivo e in partenza è organizzato in modo impeccabile, su misura, e il costo richiesto è proporzionato alla qualità del servizio

La disposizione dei bungalow, molto vicini tra loro, riduce la privacy: per cambiarsi è necessario chiudere tutte le finestre, altrimenti ci si ritrova esposti come in una piccola “piazza”. Nulla di grave, ma non sempre confortevole. Un altro elemento riguarda la formula della cena in condivisione. L’idea è potenzialmente gradevole, soprattutto per chi ama la socialità, ma diventa meno piacevole quando è obbligatoria e ripetuta ogni sera. In alcune serate avremmo semplicemente desiderato cenare in coppia, ma non era possibile

Smukkeste beliggenhed, strand og hav lige uden for vores hytte. Et helt utroligt flot koralrev lige foran hotellet, hvor vi så store mængder af fisk i alle farver og størrelser, de smukkeste koraller og skildpadder ved næsten hver snorkeltur. Hytten, som vi boede i, var smukt indrettet og havde et dejligt badeværelse og den skønneste havudsigt fra terrassen. Maden var utrolig lækker og smukt anrettet. Alle måltider blev serveret på stranden, hvilket var en skøn oplevelse. Personalet var meget venligt og imødekommende.

Eneste negative var, at prisniveau for tilkøb som fx ture og transfer var høje.

We recently stayed at this hotel and enjoyed some positive aspects. The house reef is absolutely beautiful, and the beach is well-maintained and clean. The food was also quite tasty, and the staff tried their best to make our stay pleasant, though there were a few issues with the overall experience. Unfortunately, we found the atmosphere to be a bit strange and unwelcoming. The staff seemed distant at times, almost as though they were unsure how to interact with guests. We noticed that when staff members were not busy raking the beach,  they were often hard to find when we needed assistance, which left us feeling a bit disconnected. Another downside was the pricing, which felt excessive for some services, particularly things like boat transfers and a rushed 10-min dive refresher for the price of a full dive. On Sundays, when the public boat service isn’t available, the hotel seemed to take advantage of the lack of alternatives by charging insane rates for transfers to the mainland. To make matters worse, when we were leaving, one staff member attempted to convince us to cancel our Grab ride in favor of a much more expensive taxi from his personal contact. This left us with a bad impression. Despite these issues, we still appreciated the beautiful location and the hard work of the staff. However, we left feeling that the experience was overpriced for what we received. It didn’t quite live up to the warm and welcoming Indonesian hospitality we've come to cherish, and unfortunately, we felt as though we were being treated more like walking wallets than valued guests.
