This place is truly special. Very welcoming. The room was lovely. The food very good. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Great location - surrounded by the Australian bush and so close to town. Very pleased we stayed 2 nights. One night would still have been special however two was delightful.

The gardens were green and tranquil with plenty of seating inviting guest to enjoy the sunshine.
Architecture of the house was reminiscent of a bygone era and much grander days. Its age was beginning to show with evidence of repair needed in quite a few places. The staff lit a welcome fire on the main reception room which really brought it to
life on the cool evening.
The staff, which all seemed to be young females, were friendly and very accommodating.The meals, dinner and breakfast, couldn’t be faulted . Steak was perfectly cooked and other dishes were imaginative and beautifully presented .
A couple of things which did not directly impact on our comfort or the enjoyment of our stay were that much “ junk” had been left around the gardens, mostly in the flower beds… broken hoses and disused bits of garden equipment.As a gardener, it was sad to see and wouldn’t have required much fixing.
The only other evidence of lack of care was in our bedroom which was a graciously large room with a bay window looking out onto the garden .
The curtains, however, couldn’t be opened as their tracks were broken and the curtains hung in a sad droop. It spoilt the presentation of the whole room. Absolutely no complaints about the bedding .

My husband and I have been coming here for a very long time and this is most certainly the worst condition I have ever seen it. The whole place needs a very good clean and some thought given to guests and where do they go. The food was sensational and Penny is fantastic however we got the feeling this place has been forgotten.
Better staff training, more lighting, cleanliness. Less junk and rubbish lying around the property. Dogs constantly barking was certainly an issue.
