We stayed in Rome for a couple of days. The apartment was very nice and authentic , clean and comfortable! The check in was easy. Breakfast was included. Breakfast area has the beautiful view of the city! Staff friendly and helpful! Will recommend!

Amazing location - very central in Rome with very easy walking distance to all the main historical sites and restaurants. The location is very charming and unique with very historic architecture and rooms.

Expect a more rustique vibe with less modern amenities - our AC didn't work and the room can get quite stuffy.

My room was 5 minutes walk in the city from reception and breakfast, with lots of stairs. For me it was OK but keep that in mind if it may be an issue for you

The shower was small but clean and always had hot water. We appreciated that the staff took the wet towels and left us fresh towels without asking. The bed was comfortable. The decorations were odd but unique. We liked the proximity to a great local restaurant Ristorante Lagana.

The key system to get into the room was a disaster. it was extremely dangerous to be locked into the building by 3 different doors. If one of us wanted to leave the room, the only options were for one person to take the key and lock the other one in the room and 2 external doors from the outside (the person staying would be being physically unable to leave the room and the building), or leave the person in an unlocked room with no method of locking it. Even if they could leave the room, if another guest locked any of the other 2 building doors, the person inside is trapped. Each of the 3 doors locked from the inside and outside by key only, no deadbolts. In case of emergency, this is extremely dangerous, and for day-to-day living it was extremely inconvenient. At one point our room door key wasn’t working and it took 20 minutes to open it. We called the front desk multiple times with no answer. We also knew that we would need to check into a different property before going to our room, but it was inconvenient and a longer, hotter walk than expected. A staff member walked us to our room and carried our luggage, but he was dragging the wheels of our suitcase over the cobblestones and damaged it. We appreciated the gesture but wish we would have asked him to stop and offered to carry our own luggage. He explained which keys went to which door, but did not explain that each door locks from the outside and can only be unlocked with the key. We wish he would have told us that we would be locked into the building. The room door key was very difficult to use and he did not explain that, so the first time we tried using it, it took us 10 minutes to figure it out. The screws on the lock were coming loose, so it looks like we weren’t the only guests who struggled.
