Highly recommended

The hotel is in a great location, with beautiful mountain views all around. The staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with in English. Due to low hotel activity, we were upgraded to a higher-standard room, which was absolutely lovely. The room was clean and well equipped with towels, bathrobes, shampoo, toothbrushes, and shower amenities. The bed was very comfortable, making it ideal for a short stay. There was also an option to book breakfast or order food, which we didn’t use, but everything looked great overall.

Great stay, great views and great location!

Just about the best location you’ll find around Meteora. Everything is within walking distance and just minutes by car to the monasteries. The management was lovely and the room was spacious with a great balcony. Highly recommend!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE

This hotel was absolutely amazing, and I’m surprised we even managed to get a room — it was worth every penny. The location couldn’t be better, the view was breathtaking, and Meteora was only a few minutes away. We’ll definitely return!

Absolute belter.

Honestly the couple that run this place are absolute legends and went well above their obligations as hosts. They recommended my next route into Albania and just fully went above and beyond. Been in Greece for 4 weeks and by far the most wholesome stay of the trip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Amazing views and facilities

Amazing view from the balcony and modern room. The bed was very comfortable and overall very spacious room. The family that owns the small hotel is really kind and helpful. The location is also great as it is just on the street going to Meteora and they have parking spaces. Totally recommended! We are very happy with our stay there.

Quiet, amazing views, luxurious feel, very good price, lovely host

The room and service were amazing. We had a room with the 'town' view, and it was brilliant. Lovely views from the balcony, especially morning and afternoon when the sun wasn't shining on the balcony. Very quiet too, the location is just a few buildings off the road, so no noise at all. The facilities were great too! A comfy bed, various pillows to choose from (soft or hard). A little fridge for our water and food, a plate with some cutlery, cups, tea, coffee; and they restocked it every day. It honestly felt like full on hotel service! The hostess was lovely too, and gave us some very nice tips for things and food around. We stayed for 3 nights which was perfect to explore Meteora, including the monasteries, the caves as well as a small walk/hike to the rocks. Definitely recommend staying in Kastraki over Kalabaka; and even more so at Spartacus House!

The view from the room overlooks the Meteora rocks and monasteries. Although the building appears old, the rooms are modern and well-maintained.

Excellent place, we loved it

Everything: the room, the view, the location, the people. The place has clearly been renovated recently, with everything new and in working condition. The room was quiet, very clean and we loved the spacious balcony with chairs where we could enjoy the view of Meteora. We were glad to have private parking available. One of the cliff monasteries is only a 15 minute walk from here, perfect for a quick visit on the afternoon of our arrival.

I wish there was the possibility to have breakfast here, as it's nice to start a day of explorations with a full stomach. But there's a nice bakery in the village with many pastries (savory and sweet), so it wasn't a problem for us.

Nice place for visiting Meteora

Really close to the Monastries, with a bit of motivation you can walk up to almost all of them as well as to the sunset viewpoint if you don’t have a car. There is also a bus you can take. The two hosts were super nice and helpful. My room (single without a view) was basic but worth the money. All in all happy with my choice!

The bus from Trikala doesn’t go all the way to Kastraki. There is a bus which goes a bit unregurlarly, so I ended up walking from Kalambaka both times, which was fine but obviously a bit exhausting.

Simply perfect. Price/Value is great, coffee, shampoos and all sorts of small gifts. The view on Meteora is great. Nice location, near a very good taverna. Good parking place.
