Great stay, Perfect for a few days

Disappointing stay.

The location.

Not informed about building site next door. Uncomfortable bed. Pillows are in pair state and need replacing. Dead plants!!!! Plastic plants dirty. Windows dirty. One of the blinds had paint on it. Sofa cushion covers grubby. Wardrobe door handle missing. Sink tap wobbly Some other fittings in need of repair. Decor generally tired looking. Unnecessarily complicated light switches. Fire pit full of ash and just one small bag of logs. No terrestrial TV channels available and some TV apps (eg my 5) kept buffering. No full length mirror or bins in main bedroom. Pation furniture all over the place and rugs screwed up underneath. Walkway along rear of apartment full of junk and a lump of trellis that fell down during the night. The above prompted us to look for other reviews of which there are many which mention some of the above issues for the past two years. It's such a shame as the location and potential is super but clearly suffering from neglect. As the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable, we only stayed o e night instead of the two we booked at a cost of nearly £700. To conclude, the photos looked so lovely but if we had read all if the reviews before our stay, we wouldn't have gone. We were so looking forward to a couple if nights in what appeared to be a fabulous apartment in a special location, generally disappointed.

A few little hic ups that took the edge off the stay.

Modern open plan design, being together with family, rather than being in separate hotel rooms.

Pictures were old, view is now compromised by high rise building in front of apartment. A few small repairs are required to make it what it should be.

Spoilt views, unclean, Not worth the price at all..

The room was nice but unfortunately didn’t look as good as the photos

Lots of missing fixtures that made it look a bit shabby, missing toilet roll holders, missing handles on wardrobes etc, staines on rug, the throw on the sofa had a old smell so clearly hadn’t been washed, blinds was absolutely full of dust in the bathroom, windows wasn’t very clean and any kind of view was spoilt by work being done on the house infront meaning you had to be careful when walking around the place as builders could see in, I booked this place for a amazing view and unfortunately was very disappointed as we wasn’t even informed of this the outside heaters also wasn’t working which we wasn’t informed of until the actual day of check in, outside balcony down the sides was very messy/trashy I expected a lot more for £300 for a week night I would of been absolutely fuming to pay over £400 like some of the nights are priced, the internet connection was also very unstable meaning I couldn’t finish some work I had planned to get done. I took my mum as a early Mother’s Day treat but all in all I was very deflated on walking in, I expected a lot more especially walking into the main exit of the flats didn’t feel luxurious one bit for a penthouse quite the opposite actually..I’ve stayed in some gorgeous Airbnb’s as I travel often and I have stayed in much nicer places for half the price. I did contact the owner and was assured I’d hear back after the weekend but unfortunately have not so I can’t even comment on good customer service.

We loved the space, just a few niggles that need fixing.

Location is great, parking is easy

Very hot, couldn’t see how to turn the heating down. Dial broken on thermostat in the master bedroom. Bed had a dip in the mattress. Tv in master bed not working. Couldn’t connect to the internet, did everything right, contacted owner and still unable to connect.

The perfect stay

We used the property as a base for the night before, and the night of our Wedding. It was absolutely stunning, a beautiful location and perfect place to start/end the big day. Our host was very responsive to all requests, accommodated and early check in, and there were some really nice touches in the apartment

The property was as perfect as it looks in the images and super comfortable beds, had everything I needed at the property which helped me on my stay. Walking distance from the beach also. Really enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to come back

Could be perfect - sadly wasn't - but would definitely stay again

Excellent space. Lovely contemporary feel. Jaw dropping when you first enter if you don't know what to expect (which my partner didn't). Well equipped. Great views. Nice quiet location close to beach. Car parking easier than expected.

Lighting had a mind of its own. Completely random what happened when you pressed some of the buttons. On one occasion I switched off the bedroom light and every other light in the apartment came on and then wouldn't switch off. Then the main light in the open plan area started flashing and wouldn't switch off. All very bizarre. Similarly TV kept bursting into life for no reason. Mattress in main bedroom was soggy. Really needs replacing. Despite paying a hefty cleaning fee, the dust that had piled up behind the bedroom door looked like it had been there for weeks - though the apartment was otherwise very clean.

Mehr Schein als Sein

Gefallen hat uns wirklich die Lage. Die Nähe zum Strand und die Aussicht über den Kanal.

Als wir uns damals für diese Unterkunft entschieden haben, hatten wir lange überlegt weil der Preis doch sehr hoch war. Aber wegen der Lage und den tollen Bildern bei Booking buchten wir sie doch. Und dann waren wir dort und dieser WOW Effekt der sich einstellen sollte kam nicht. Diese Unterkunft wirkte live ganz anders als auf den Fotos zu erkennen war. Es war in die Jahre gekommen und viele technische Mängel wies das Appartement auf. Es war zwar sauber aber die Möbel insbesondere die Couch im Wohnzimmer war einfach nur ekelig. Genauso erwartete man Terrassen Möbel in diesem Preisniveau. Aber es standen dort abgeranzte Rattan Geflecht Möbel mit zerrissen und abgewetzten Kissen herum. Genauso weißt die Beach Hytte eine 360 Grad Terrasse auf. In Wirklichkeit ist es gerade mal die Hälfte weil der Rest zugemüllt ist. Ich könnte noch ewig weiter aufzählen. Wir haben alles dokumentiert und auch sofort den Eigentümer kontaktiert. Aber außer Entschuldigen und danke fürs Feedback wir werden uns für nachfolgende Mieter versuchen es besser zu machen kam leider auch nichts. Man denkt wenn man so hoch Preisklassig bucht wird es ein Traum Aufenthalt. Aber trotz der Lage überwiegte leider die Enttäuschung. Die Beach Hytte ist ein Beispiel für eine Blendung. Das was man sieht bekommt man nur teilweise. Matratzen und auch Duschamaturen müssten ausgetauscht werden. Schade leider das wir diese Erfahrung machen mussten. Das trübte unsere Urlaubsstimmung.
