I loved the quiet, the views, the whole feel of this place. It was amazing. Sleeping to the sounds of frogs, bugs, and rain. Waking to the birds, yes roosters too. While eating breakfast hearing the ocean crashing and looking at the volcano. Just so peaceful. Being surrounded by small villages and how the Balinese live and work, is definitely worth the drive.
The people who work here.... just beautiful humans. They are very tentative to everything. The gentlemen that were there when I arrived, worked a lot of the times when I was there. Just happy, caring people that love their job. There was another lady who worked the afternoons and evenings, beautiful greetings every day when I arrived back. Always interested in what I had done for the day. They don't get many Australians, so it was nice to not be surrounded by Aussies like in Kuta and Legian areas.
Kids would be ok here if they are a wee bit older and like to relax. The pool is not deep enough for jumping and diving.
If I return to Bali, I'll stay here again.
The only thing that was tricky was distance to places and traffic. Get up earlier to beat the traffic and get yourself a good driver, if you don't like using the scooters. I don't drive the scooters, so be prepared for a driver - its worth the investment.
