About this house rental
The perfect location for your family vacation, couple's getaway, group retreat or reunion. Our house is the best location on an extraordinary lake, with southern exposure, a large deck and plenty of dock space, plus a swim float. Green Lake is a small, pond-size lake, so boat traffic is low, waves are small, and kids are safe. Canada Lake, accessed by boat, offers more adventures. Hike from the house to Kane Mountain fire tower for breathtaking views, or let the kids explore nearby ponds with salamanders, tadpoles and beaver dams. You can have a fulfilling week without leaving the lake – but there’s lots to explore in this unique southern Adirondack location. Saratoga, Cooperstown, the Adirondack Museum and Lake George Great Escape are popular day trips.

The entire family had a great time at Martha’s house on Green Lake. Parents, Teenagers, and Grandparents all had fun. Swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Table on the fully enclosed porch was super for family meals. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We made Birthday cupcakes, shrimp tacos and many more meals. We hope to come back again. 5 stars from our family.

We've stayed here four times now and plan to return. From the sparkling lake to kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and listening to the loons and owls at night, and watching shooting stars... this place is a slice of heaven.

It did rain all week for us. The kayak and boats are fun. The carpet really needs to be removed/replaced, as do all of the beds, though. It would have been nice if the indoor woodstove was working, since we were inside most of the time. The place was a bit dusty and a wee bit dank. Very cute house. Just needs a bit of updating and maybe a few more chairs outside.
