Fully renovated 1840's Farmhouse on The Great Sacandaga Lake with 210 acres of hiking trails with eye-popping views of the lake and surrounding peaks. Relax with the whole family, at the lake, in front of a fire, on top of our private mountain, or on the spacious screen porch. Watch movies on our large Flat Screen TV in the Living Room.
30 minutes from Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), Lake George Village, Outlet stores & Several Amusement Parks including Great Adventure near Lake George.
Private 75' dock with 100' of private lakefront including use of 2 kayaks and 2 canoes and Paddleboard... more if needed.
Three bedrooms with all new 2 Cal. King and 2 Queen sized beds. Two full bathrooms. (tub & shower). Air conditioning, WIFI, Large TV with cable access. Full kitchen with spice cabinet, large washer and dryer.
Sleeps 8 comfortably.
Seats 8, for dining, on screen porch, and 6 at kitchen table.

We loved our stay at Bob's Adirondack Lakefront Cottage in Hadley! At first, I thought the rental included the entire 210 acres directly on the property, but the house is actually across the street. You still have access to the 210 acres across the lawn where Bob and his family live, which is where the hike up to the mountain and off-grid cabin starts. This setup worked out even better as it felt much safer and more comfortable than being completely isolated on such a large empty property. The home itself was very peaceful, and we felt secure the whole time.Some highlights: sitting out on the porch patio and down by the dock were favorite relaxing spots, and the hike to the top of the mountain overlooking the lake and off-grid cabin was well worth the 45-minute climb, a true trip highlight. The dock has been updated from what you see in some of the older photos due to wind blowing the previous furniture structure away. There’s now an umbrella tied to the dock and a picnic table, which made it perfect for shade on sunny days. We also made a fire and had s’mores with the provided s'more sticks, such a fun bonus!Bob was a wonderful host, very communicative, and made sure everything we needed was in place. A top stay overall, and one I’d definitely recommend for anyone looking for peace and nature. We hope to be back next year!

Me, my mom, my uncle and my dog Barney had a lovely and relaxing stay at Bob’s Hadley cottage. We spent a lot of time on the porch and deck, enjoying the view of the lake down the hill. The cottage was perfect for us because it has two bedrooms on the main floor and just a few small steps to get to the yard, since my dog is 14 and a couple of us are 75 years or older.Bob was an extremely responsive and friendly host who greeted us upon our arrival. We knew we could reach out to him about anything should we need it.We prefer to unwind and do very little on our September vacations, but there was plenty to do, such as boating, hiking, etc. If you wanted. We did drive up to the Hadley Overlook a couple of times to take in the beautiful view. I enjoyed doing a puzzle at a table with great lighting perfectly positioned in front of the window so you can take in the view at the same time. And we enjoyed making a couple of fires in the terrific fireplace, and one outdoors as well at the fire pit. We will definitely keep this great cottage in mind for future vacations!
