Our suite had a nice balcony overlooking olive trees and a little bay/beach. Fantastic location for those looking for peace and quiet close to a beach. Car/motorbike for moving on the island recommended, although the Chora can be reached with a 30 min hike.

The property has been a family business for many years. Megalos Mourtias is a wonderful beach and the property sits right on it. There are four rooms, we stayed in the ground floor and we were surrounded by olive trees. The owners are extremely friendly and always willing to help. You should try the restaurant of the property which started the whole business and has exquisite, really amazing, and relatively cheap, food. Definitely try the Alonnisos pita and the Kolokythokeftedes (fried zucchini balls) -- and every kind of fish!
The ground floor is next to the area where guests of the Megalos Mourtias restaurant park their cars. There is some noise coming from the parking because of that (especially during lunch-time) and people coming and going in front of your room (so do book one of the rooms on the first floor).
