Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Melbourne Viera Town Center

Nice and clean.

I liked everything.

The location was perfect, directly across from the Viera Towne Center and lots of things to do in the surrounding area. Desk staff was welcoming and had a quick check in. Plenty of restaurants in surrounding area. Hotel was very nice and a good value. I had a ground floor room, which is what I requested, and it was very quiet. I liked the smaller carts they had for bringing items to your room. Handicap parking is close to the front door. The eating area is very nice. Spent some time there just reading. Nice pool too.

The mattress was not comfortable. I stayed 2 nights and slept very poorly. Kept waking up because my back hurt so bad. I ended up lying on two pillows in the bed to try and sleep, but really did not help. The AC unit was noisy; it sounded like the fan kept working hard and making kind of a squeaky sound, then would stop. Didn't matter during the day, but at night, it was annoying. Of course, this is probably not like that in every room. I was in room 129. The chair to the desk was fine, but it would have been nice to have a larger sitting chair with something to put feet up. If one of those had been available, I would have slept in it for a better night's sleep than the bed. I left early morning 5:30 am, but didn't see anyone at the desk while bringing luggage out my car so left keys at check in desk.

Nice area, hotel was nice and very clean. Staff was great.

Had an issue with the water not working. Was unable to brush teeth, take showers, etc.. then there were small ant like bugs in the bathroom and rooms that invaded our luggage. Hotel could not compensate me because I booked through Booking.com and not directly through Mariott.
