For us, the Staybridge Suites Puebla provides an absolutely perfect midway stopping point for our frequent family trips between San Miguel de Allende and Oaxaca City. It has easy access from the highway and a very secure parking lot. Their suites have full size refrigerators, 2 burner electric stovetops, full size dishwashers, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, kitchen towels, dish soap, clean sponges, paper towels-- namely everything a family needs for eating in. We've stayed at many Staybridge Suites in the United States and this one in Puebla Mexico seriously beats them all. The suites are always immaculately clean and have large windows. The beds are comfortable and the bedding is high quality. We appreciate that the bedrooms offer blackout shades. My older son loves the small gym and I appreciate the spacious laundry room. We generally pay $2400 pesos per night (which includes the 19% taxes) and we always opt for the westerly mountain/volcano view which constitutes about $400 pesos extra. ($2000 + $400 additional). This offers a view over the parking lot and of the famous Mexican Volcano Popocatépetl, which is from time to time smoking somewhat ominously. There is a Starbucks and a Toks restaurant within a 3 minute walk from the Staybridge--they actually share the same super secure parking lot. The staff has never been overly friendly, but they've always been extremely professional.
I only thing that I, as a mother, don't like is the relatively low walls on the outdoor terraces.

The rooms are extremely nice.
Staff are ALL obnoxious, pretentious and rude. From restaurant staff to receptionists. It is NOT pet friendly! They want to search your room when you leave just in case your pet shed a whisker. I told them I have a long drive ahead and better things to do than get treated like a convict because I have a small dog. Impossible location to find, my GPS took me to the back entrance. The receptionist tried to fine me and make me pay 300MXN in order for me to exit the gates and leave (yes really keeping me hostage lol) because I did not have a gate card pass (because I came in through the back entrance after a 10 hr drive from hell). Terrible place… there has to be another pet friendly option?!
