Vanaga namiņš

Mõnus väike maja põldude vahel Sigulda linna külje all, sisse astudes lilleamplid ja tervitustabloo. Pisut nõtkuvate laudistega terrassi kõrval on tiik, tagaaias saab aega viita (batuut, lauad-toolid, grill. Majale annavad isikupärase ilme mitmed seinapildid (teiste seas Vanaga humoorikad toiduga komponeeritud fotod). Küüni juures saab hea õnne korral näha kanu-kukkesid siblimas ja pererahvas oli jätnud meile köögilauale värskeid munasid. Nb! Teine maja on kohe kõrval.

Koha ülesleidmine võttis natuke aega. Kraanivesi kergelt rauase maitsega, eelistasime pudelivett.

We liked very much the house itself and the warm welcoming. It is the first time when i was greeted with my name written with big letters on the house. The house is situated outside the city in a very nice scenery, witha very well maintained yard where children enjoyed to play and where you can have a barbeque. The host left nice instructions on how to reach a nice lake with a beach not far away (1.5km). We did not travel for the old town so we liked staying away from the rush an noice of the city. The kids said that they would have wished that all our accomodation would be like this one as they had where to play. It was something different and unexpected in the good way.

The only thing i could perhaps mention, but it is very minor and fully offset by all the good parts is the lower than usual debit of the water in the shower. But on the other end, this is friendlier with the environment.

We appreciated the warm welcome, including fresh eggs and home-grown vegetables. The garden was great for our children to run around, and the games and puzzles were a nice touch. Having a washing machine was also very convenient.

The bathroom was extremely small, and there was a strong septic smell. We also noticed mold in the shower and experienced very low water pressure. Additionally, music played continuously in the nearby barn, even overnight, which meant we had to keep our bedroom window closed (the owner later explained the reason when we asked). The owner was kind and welcoming, but we feel that addressing these issues should be a priority. While we booked the house based on its 9.5 rating, we do not think this score reflects the reality of our stay, and we did not feel it offered good value for money.
