The Nook, Portstewart

The Nook is such a great accommodation which is situated in prime position with easy access to everything, and everything you need for your stay. There was even milk in the fridge as well as ice in freezer which was very welcome in the weather we were fortunate to have. Also a little basket of snacks in the kitchen and all you need in the bathroom with little extras which was nice. The view was fab, would definitely recommend this accommodation to family and friends and look forward to returning

No parking, cars noisy at night, no disability access (via strps)

The location was great, the apartment was well outfitted, very clean lovely towels, the washer was very appreciated. The tiny problem was the mattress, it’s a small bed for two people and the mattress wasn’t great, Suggestion: if possible add a table and chairs on the back patio.. we had lovely weather and would have enjoyed sitting outside..

the location was perfect for us, a great view of the sea and surrounding bay, easy parking and the property was clean and tidy on arrival. There are all the features you need for a short or long stay and the hosts made clear communication ahead of our stay with good instructions and a useful welcome/what to do/info sheet.

the big downside for us was the noise of the surrounding properties, we are not suggesting anyone was being deliberately loud, but being able to hear what felt like every footstep of the neighbours above us was tedious to say the least, particularly as they seemed to have a very early start each day and or a pet to attend to. We found it difficult to get off to sleep given this issue together with a very creaky bed which meant we alternated who slept on the bed and who slept on the couch ! We didn't raise these issues with the host as there is precious little they could have done during our stay, and given that others have said similar things on reviews we have seen, perhaps its time these observations were actioned.
