Apartments Villa Sofia

Because we are older, myself 79 and husband 77 we did find the location quite difficult as it was up a hill and there were a lot of steps up and then down to get to the apartment. However it was within walking distance to the Esplanade although again quite a difficult walk.

Oyo is a great host, he let us leave our luggages at the villa early in the morning si we could walk around the city without backpacks. The apartment is big, everything is new, very comfortable bed and couch. In the kitchen you have many useful thinks such as pan and pot and you can prepare some meals (no oven only microwave). There is a nice terrace outside the apartment. The bathroom is big and water with preassure so great for this. There is a diahwashing machine inside the kitchen. One supermarket close to the apartment. Air condition is great.

No coffee machine. The bus station is quite far 10 minus of climbing the heels. Beach is at 10 minus but down the stairs so up and down a lot. The apartment is in Lapad so 20 minutes by bus to the old city center. No mosquito screens at the windows (and there are a lot of mosquitos in Dubrovnik)

They were great at accommodating us and provided a baby chair and a baby crib. The Apartment is brand new, with everything you might need while travelling with family. We had the pleasure of finding a fully equipped kitchen, including the typical stuff like pans and pots, but also olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, paper tissue roll, dishwasher, dishwasher pods, etc. Living room with a new smart TV (they even had a Netflix account logged in) and a very comfortable corner sofa. The terrace had a table and two comfortable benches, we could have breakfast on the terrace, have a drink, and even order a late dinner if we didn't want to go out. The property is accessible; we ordered food and groceries via Wolt and Bolt. And an Uber can take you to the old city for around 13 euros. There is also a nearby grocery store less than 10 minutes away. There is a walking promenade called "scenic route" that takes you (we went with a baby stroller) from the property to the nearby beaches (Copacabana and another one). All in all, we were very happy with the choice, and we are looking forward to going back!
