Great stay for relaxation, even the smallest detail was taken care of. Kids will love it, especially the pool and the toys. The neighbourhood is so quiet and the main square of the village (just 2 minutes away) has everything you need: amazing local restaurants, caffe/bar, pharmacy, mini market and bakery. A fantastic choice for couples and families.

De tuin is een waar paradijs. Prachtig!! Prima zwembad, goede locatie en de prijs is ook uitstekend. Goede bedden, makkelijk parkeren. En een dikke 10 voor de host Ioannis.
Het toilet was niet schoon toen we aankwamen. Ook ontbrak een volledige instructie voor het huis waardoor ik steeds de host moest lastigvallen met vragen. Die reageerde overigens altijd meteen. Meer handdoeken en theedoeken zou prettig zijn. Ook moesten we de katten voeren, wat op zich al bijzonder is, maar er was geen voorraad kattenvoer. Tenslotte was het heel jammer dat de lichten in de tuin automatisch uitgingen om 23.45, dan zaten we ineens in het donker. Kleine ongemakken dus, die heel gemakkelijk verholpen zouden kunnen worden om een 10 score te halen.

We had a good stay at The Backyard in Kalamata. The house itself was beautifully designed, with a spacious living area that made us feel right at home. The garden was a true gem—lush and peaceful, complete with a private pool that offered the perfect spot to relax and recharge.
Communication with the owner was smooth and friendly from start to finish, which made everything easy and stress-free. His thoughtful gestures, like welcoming us with sesame cookies and local olive oil, added such a personal touch and made us feel genuinely cared for.
We particularly appreciated the quiet location, set outside the city and nestled among locals—it gave us a chance to experience the authentic charm of the area. Kalamata was only about a 20-minute drive away, so we could enjoy the city without sacrificing the tranquility of our retreat.
This stay was the perfect balance of comfort, hospitality, and local flavor. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful escape with heart.
On the practical side, there was no 3rd sunbed at the pool and the double bed in the master bedroom was very small.
There were also no kitchen towels or dishwasher tablets provided, so we bought some ourselves—no problem at all, but just something to note.

Lauschiges, gemütliches, sauberes, gepflegtes und modernes Anwesen. Sehr gute Innenausstattung mit vielen Extras. Sehr schöner Privatpoolbereich mit Grillbereich, großer Tisch und viele Sitzmöglichkeiten. Geräumige Dusche ohne Duschvorhang - sehr angenehm! Parkmöglichkeit innerhalb der Anlage.
Ruhig und abgeschlossen.
Sehr schade, dass es bei Bedarf keine zusätzlichen leichten, klappbaren Liegen für den Poolbereich gibt. So können immer nur 2 Personen in den Genuss kommen und die anderen müssen auf harten Stühlen verweilen (hier wären auch Sitzkissen wünschenswert).
Das Geschirr... war ein wenig schmuddelig.
