Nice apartment with massive hassles in transportation

Apartment is spacious and clean. Very quick response from host. Easy walking from train station and to old town.

Kitchen sink is tiny so it was difficult to clean the pots. There is no supermarkets within walking distance, only a small Edeka.Gengenbach is a small town, only need a couple of hours. Transportation was horrendous to go anywhere. Need to transfer to Offenburg which is only 6 minutes on train or 30 minutes on bus. Issues were that DB trains were unreliable, inaccurate information. Only 1 train per hour to Offenburg. Taxi was expensive and not even available from offenburg back to Gengenbach. It took 3.5 hours to and from Strasbourg due to delays and missing connections.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. We arrived after a long trip with 2 small children. It was super clean, with everything we needed. There was even a box with toys to play with. For this price we would definitely recommend this apartment.

The apartment was modern and spacious with everything that we needed for our stay. Our hosts answered our questions very quickly.

If you arrive on a Sunday, make sure you bring water with you as the shops are closed. Also, information on how to use the shutters would be useful.

Excellent stay for our family.

Communication was great. The apartment was super clean and everything was new. We were so close to the town of Gengenbach, a charming town that looked like a postcard. We were not too far from the Black Forest. Edgar was a wonderful host.

Exceptional

Excellent Stay! Very well & newly furnished apartment. All amenities are provided. As it was hot, we requested an extra fan, which Edgar happily gave. There are also laundry facilities on the ground floor. The property is just 5 mins walk to the main plaza. There is a bus stop just outside the building from where there are buses to & from Offenburg & other nearby areas. The property is about a kilometer from Gengenbach Station. Konus card, provided by them, help you travel free in the entire Black forest region. There is a bike rental, Laufard, very close to the property. The hosts are very sweet people. Enjoyed interacting with them. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Nothing. Tip - It is better to take a bus from Offenburg than coming from Gengenbach. From Gengenbach station, you will have to drag your luggage for a kilometer. Bus from Offenburg drops you right outside the property. Carry light luggage as there is no elevator in the building.

Very nice apartment in a great location.

The property felt like it was new and was very close to the centre which is a beautiful small town with all you need. We had some problems while there but just things could happen to anyone and the owners did all they could to resolve them as quickly as they could.

While there we had no hot water for the shower or taps which wasn't the owners fault and most likely due to work being done on the road outside, as the owners did what they could to try and resolve the situation, but it was hot weather and we got by ok. At the time there was a very noisy neighbour but hopefully he was just doing a project at that time and it wouldn't be a permanent problem. Without these problems we would have given top ratings for everything.

Peaceful, calm, serene stay in natures lap. Good property, warm welcome by hosts, clear instructions

The apartment is brand new. Everything was well thought of and is of repute brand. The location is exactly as promised, around 12-15 min walk from gengenback station. There is a bus stop just outside the apartment. The old town main street is very nearby, around 5-7 min walk. Grocery store is at a distance of around 700 Mtr. The kitchen is well equipped and has good stock of materials. Crockery and furniture are of Ikea and looks brand new. Owners are very friendly and fulfilled our smallest of requirements. Konus card is provided by owner which will make your black forest region public transport free (except high speed trains, special trains, cable cars etc. Please refer konus card policies). If you want a peaceful, serene stay then gengenback will give you that. There is nothing to explore in the town so don't spend much time exploring it rather go out and explore triberg, Baden Baden etc.

Superb

Very easy to reach, parking near the building, the key box just next to the door, clear instructions sent upfront. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is just a few minutes walk from the beautiful centrum of the city, there are also walking routes nearby. The host was very friendly, communication went very well. Hints: * windows in the apartment have blinders, just look for the buttons to move them up/down (we found them after the fact :)) * have some cash in you for paying the city tax if you travel for leisure

One of the bedrooms was a bit too warm for a good sleep. But kids liked it so I can't reallycomplain!

Sehr modern und sauber, guter Ausstattung, neuwertig. Fußläufig zur Altstadt, Bahnhof, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür.

Leider war das Schlafzimmerfenster unserer Wohnung zur Straße, daher etwas laut für uns.

Für einen Kurztrip nach Gengenbach absolut empfehlenswert!

Die Lage ist perfekt für die Altstadt, man läuft ca. 5 Min. bis zum Stadttor. Die Unterkunft ist in einem relativ neu gebauten Haus. Alles ist top in Schuss und solide und gut ausgestattet. Es war super sauber!

Das Bett fanden wir nicht so bequem, aber das ist natürlich eine sehr individuelle Bewertung. Die Wohnung bietet wenig Stauraum für Koffer, so dass diese im Wohnbereich stehen müssen.
