Modern Eckerty Home w/ Deck on Patoka Lake!

We stayed at this house last year and returned this year. We love the deck, and the space indoors, and it's not far to French Lick. Also plenty of beds.

There was an issue with construction work on the deck when we arrived, but that only lasted a couple of hours into our stay. One recommendation would be curtains or blinds on the windows in the living room & dining room that can be closed after dark.

We were a group of women in our 60's who have been friends since high school. This rental was perfect for us, with plenty of room and beds. We especially enjoyed the deck, where we spent most of our time. We like the location because it's not too far from French Lick, and close to the park and lake.

The grass between the house and fire pit was pretty tall, and was wet after dark. Also, the showers/tubs were slippery, and the upstairs tub had no grab bars to hold on to.

We went on a getaway with another family, 4 adults and 7 kids. The space was great! The kids loved sharing a room! The adults liked the room the house provided to spread out a bit. The kitchen was stocked with any great to use.

Nice house, good A/C, remote location.

Main level bathroom had ceiling drywall removed due to a upstairs bathroom leak. This exposed the toilet discharge pipe, plus shower and sink drains. All these were located right above main level bathroom vanity sink. You could hear water flow every time someone used upstairs facilities. This also brought dust, dirt and drywall particles down right into vanity sink area. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE while getting ready in the morning. Called owner, left message with no response, before I left this review. Sure wish owner would have either temporarily covered the ceiling or would have allowed us to reschedule, or compensate us for the inconvenience.
