We loved this property away from the city and having our own space to relax. It was well furnished and had everything you needed - just like a home away from home. We had some problems with the pool and heating and the owner was responsive to messages. The town is lovely, it has an amazing supermarket with friendly staff and the staff at the Italian restaurant were super friendly. If you're a walker or a runner there are lots of lovely trails near the house. Handy to Bordeaux and St Emilion and we also did day trips to Bergerac and Arcachon, all are worth a visit. There are also lots of lovely villages, chateau's and places of interest within a very short drive.

Mosquitos!! Take insect repellent and antihistamine cream. The day we arrived was hot but the pool was green and murky so we couldn't use it, the owner gave us some advice but by the time it was usable the temp had dropped so we never used it. Beware the low doorways and ceilings in some rooms as our two 6ft plus humans had some bad knocks. The downstairs bed (in the main bedroom) was very firm and we put the extra duvets on top of the mattress to soften it up a bit.

Great pool and nice to have in the hot weather. Spacious house for 4 people (would work with even 6 people). Nice countryside and walks around the area for exercising a dog.

Cleanliness was very poor (cutlery, crockery and kitchen appliances in general were dirty). Bathroom floor and shower head very mouldy), Several items in need of repair (eg clothes draws in bedroom were damaged), patio floor boards loose and lift up when you step on one end)
