About this cabin rental

Hut 36 is one of five beautifully modernised Nissen huts at the former Cultybraggan Prisoner of War Camp, just outside the village of Comrie in Perthshire. Built during the Second World War and used for over 70 years as a Ministry of Defence training centre, it is now the last remaining POW camp in Scotland, recognised by Historic Scotland as a heritage asset of international value. Now owned by Comrie Development Trust, the camp has been carefully preserved and reimagined into spacious, sustainable self catering accommodation.

Hut 36 retains its iconic curved shape with a red roof, white frontage and black trim, set against the Aberuchill Hills. Inside is a bright, fully renovated open plan layout with blond wooden floors, cream walls and pale furnishings.

The open plan space includes a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for four, and a comfortable double sofa bed with television. The separate bedroom has a king size bed, plus a modern shower room.

Hut 36 is dog friendly. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on site and are not permitted on sofas or beds.

Our team provides 24/7 support by phone via the number in your digital guide, sent before check-in. For the quickest response, please message us through the platform messenger.

The camp is a peaceful place and very well kept, the hut was great for a short stay, the communication with the agent was second to none, Jamie was very helpful with any queries we had regarding the property. Our children really enjoyed staying on an old prisoner of war camp and found it really exciting. The hut was clean and tidy and had everything we required to make our stay comfortable. Overall I would recommend and would return.
