Our stay was awesome. Our whole family had a blast. There was enough room for everyone and the hosts responded quickly to an issue with the furnace leaking.

This stay was great! We had such a fun time and really used the cabin to its full potential. Would definitely stay here again or recommend it to friends and family.

The cabin was beautiful and was great for our needs. I loved the fact that it actually slept 18 in beds. There were however some issues that I had. First issue is that no where on the page for this property does it state that there is a fee for over 10 people staying. This property says that it sleeps 18 and we stated that we would have 14 adults and 3 children which is under their maximum. My 80 year old mother made the reservation and did not notice before making the deposit that a $210 fee was added for extra guests. I noticed it before taking care of the balance. I called VRBO who told me that the property owner should not charge that if it is not stated and I should take it up with the owner. I spoke with the property service who said that is how they have always done it and they do it so if someone who only has 10 guests is penalized! Well if they only needed to sleep 10 then rent a cabin that sleeps 10 don't penalize those who actually have less than the maximum! He said he would speak with his boss and the owner and get back with me but never did. I feel that since this was booked through VRBO and they said it should not be that way then I am owed $210.
Upon arrival at the cabin it was clear that it had recently snowed but the road the cabin was on, the drive and the walkway to the cabin had not been treated or plowed. 3 of the 6 cars that we had slid off the road, 2 got stuck and 3 people fell on the walkway. Once in we were going to make a fire in the fireplace but there was no wood even though it was stated on check in procedures and a sign with a box that they have firewood for $6 a bundle for purchase and if you don't leave the money in the box then your cc will be charged $12. Since we arrived on a Saturday the property office was closed so I called the maintenance person who told me that they no longer provide firewood and then proceeded to tell me the closest place we could go buy some. Due to the road conditions we did not want to go back out. He then said he could bring us some and could possibly be there in an hour. I said great and asked him to call, never heard from him.
A few other issues were no hand soap in any of the bathrooms or kitchen. No mattress protectors. The bottom of oven was so dirty that when we preheated it poured out smoke and stunk up the cabin. A crumpled dirty envelope left for tips that said please don't throw away which someone had obviously thrown in trash and then removed and put it back out.
