Howell Hall Barn

Beautiful barn for a family get together. Large open plan kitchen and lounge area plus separate large games/family room. Bedrooms were comfortable and good size. Lots of views of the countryside around the property. Nice walk into nearby village. The outside space is great however we didn’t use it as it was a very cold, wet and windy January weekend.

Just a couple of very minor points! Tiles in the shower room could do with a good scrub or replacement of grout as they were a bit mouldy looking. There were only 2 teaspoons! Although the house was lovely and warm downstairs, we couldn’t find any instructions to control the heating upstairs. A couple of the rooms were cold and the radiators in those rooms Luke warm!

Great location, plenty of space, hot tub was great, communal areas all very nice.

Sadly the pool table was ripped and not usable. Dishwasher did not clean sufficiently so had to hand wash items. Extractor filter in twin room bathroom very clogged causing asthma issues, so we had to clean it. This bathroom was also a bit damp - possibly caused by broken gutter and downpipe outside. Unfortunately, could not locate the barbecue at all. Some minor improvements could have elevated it to fabulous, such as more tea towels, salt, pepper, olive oil etc, pods for Tassimo coffee machine, sunshade over hot tub, hairdryer, and hammock outside was unusable as bent or incorrectly assembled, and generally a bit dusty/cobwebby. However these are minor observations and we would still use this accommodation again.
