Castaways 7D - You'll love its incredible views and great location

The only hesitation we have about leaving a good review is that it might not be available the next time we want to book it againAll in all, it was a great stay! Everything mentioned in the description was accurate, and it was even better than what we expected. The property was also larger than we were expecting. We were a family of 4 adults who stayed there, but it could have fit up to 8 (or more) very comfortably. It was a great location. Easy walk to the beach, and plenty of places that were walkable to go out for a nice dinner. The balcony was great, with the beautiful views. We spent the majority of our time on it when we weren't on the beach. There was also a nice heated pool to take a dip in after being in the ocean. The complex was midsize, and it seemed to be a good group of people who lived there, or who were renting like us. The booking process was very easy, and the communication with the rental company was great! They always got back to us right away. The property had everything we needed for basic supplies to get started, and it was well stocked with cookware if you want to make any meals in the condo.Another nice touch is that all the TVs were on Dish Network. Obviously, we weren't there to watch TV, but many other past condos we have booked use streaming apps. This made it handy if you want to quickly catch up with the news or ESPN before you hit the beach. You can't go wrong with this place, and we would definetely stay there again!

Castaways is in an excellent location to enjoy Gulf Shores, park your car and walk to restaurants. We have stayed in various rooms at Castaways for over 12 years. This room was furnished about the same as others, not new but adequate. While it was quite clean there were some minor maintenance issues that should be addressed. In the master bedroom a door is hanging by one hinge, requiring an effort to close. Also the master bedroom blinds are torn, limiting privacy and need replacement. They are only ‘light filtering’ which doesn’t stop the rising sun from waking you, should be ‘room darkening’. The outside of the fridge’s door is covered in rust. I have photos but couldn’t post them in this review.With the above exceptions we completely enjoyed staying at this location and would gladly revisit.

Excellent condo :) plan to book again next year!

The space was amazing! The unit needs a deep clean and a few updates. The couch has a tear in it, dishwasher door was hanging when open, crumbs in kitchen drawers.
